  • Fantastic loss :) As for exercise, Walking? Pilates (you'd have to amend to be suitable for your back)? Trampoline? Strength exercises? So squats? Bicep curls? Leg raises? I'm no expert but there's plenty to do so you don't aggravate your back.
  • OP - have you measured out & logged a days worth of meals following the nutritionists advice? I've already said that you can easily get to 1300cals with the right foods & portion sizes. It's annoying me that people are still replying just saying no that's too low, yes, 900cals is too low, this diet needs correct portions &…
  • Funny really because I was diagnosed with PCOS when thyroid levels were 'normal'. Bottom line is, im working my butt off to lose weight & nowt is happening!!!
  • Thanks everyone for your lovely helpful responses :) This morning I went out and did Week 6 Day 3 & had to stop twice. First time my podcast went off by itself - I use NHS Choices btw, I'm in the UK. I listen to the music on there & find myself singing some of them out loud when I get home ! Stopped for about 2mins after…
  • 100% agree. Seeing as Insulin Resistance and PCOS/Hypothyroidism is linked I just wonder sometimes.
  • Don't mean to be negative, I'm genuinely making a point here and wanting feedbavk on anyone who has experience with this... Okay so I read this thread as I have PCOS AND hypothyroidism as well as IBS when eating the wrong foods. I've read tons and tons on the right foods etc - and came to the conclusion that LOW GI is the…
  • So glad someone did this. You've saved me a job of outlining each portion and the calories. This is roughly my diet - but I eat porridge in the morning and carbs with my dinner in the evening, so my net cals per day end up as 1600. Why don't you try to eat this style of diet for a week or so, see if it suits you. It sounds…
  • I am.... But we're already friends on MFP,xx
  • Thank you so much :) well done on your losses X
  • Okay, so I used Scooby's Calculator & taking it from that... BMR = 1611 TDEE = 2215 TDEE - 25% (I have 50lb to lose) = 1661 TDEE - 20% = 1772 My TDEE %s include 1-3hrs of light exercise. I am C25K so currently jogging/walking, nothing too crazy!! Will adjust if I need to. Do I eat my exercise cals back? If not, I can't get…
  • LOL sorry - I should give these details out!! My BMR is between 1500 and 1600, depending on the site... My TDEE with 3 - 5 days active is 2200 - 2300. I took 20% off and ended up with 1650 - 1750 depending on the result of my TDEE. x
  • Could I just eat back my exercise calories if my TDEE includes my workout? Or up it to 1700/1750? Thanks for your reply :)
  • Firstly, very well done on your weight loss! Such an inspiration for everyone else! Secondly, I'm sorry everyone here has insulted your husband!! Yes he is in the wrong but maybe WE need to chill & remember this is her other half! Could you perhaps order your own pizza? Or share one with your daughter? Perhaps have some…
  • I think it's cause 1700 feels like such a lot!!! Thanks, ill give it another few weeks & see. If I need to lower it then I will. Aims
  • You can also link it to MFP app, therefore it knows your weight, height etc. Although I'm sure you enter your stats into the app. Xx
  • Cool, thanks :) i'll give this a try. I'll begin with the 0.5kg weight then... !
  • don't want to pay a fortune for them when there are alternatives. Her DVD set is £19 on amazon, but when I've bought weights etc, didn't really want to pay for a DVD too if I can find another one somewhere else.
  • Aww cool thanks ! Will check them out Xx
  • I'm intrigued! Sign me up! Xx
  • I did day 2 today ! Add me if you like! xx

  • If it helps, mine was 12 when it was diagnosed. Last test after being on 50mg thyroxine, was 4. I was then put on 75mg & my next test is in May.
  • I feel like you're my thyroid twin! I also have Zumba & 30day shred, just been for a 30 mins training session on couch to 5k. I'm 26, 5'5" and 180lbs. If I eat healthily, exercise then I know I can lose weight. I did the Cambridge Diet last year, it helped me shift nearly 2 stone. But then I put 15lbs back on because I…
  • Hey there, I'm from the UK & was diagnosed with hypothyroidism last year. I hope this helps. My family has a history of under active thyroid & most females have ballooned in weight as a result, so I was really keen for this to not happen. I kept going back to the doctors every 12 months or so asking to be retested. I was…
