i dont think we should muddy it with the word "eating", but yes, I certainly have a disorder when it comes to wanting my stats to be accurate. You should see the excel spreadsheet I built to chart my monthly expenses/debt/property value/investments/etc. On the first day of each month, i know to the dollar my total net…

Yes, it is foolish to omit food that you dont actually eat. What was I thinking

I'm actually going to try something like this. I am going to weigh the burger before and after. I will assume that a lot of what comes out is water and not credit myself with reducing all the weight in fat. Let's say the patty goes from .25 lbs to .20 lbs. If I begin with .25 of 80/20 meat, I will record it as .20 of 85/15…

I also find it rude when someone asks a specific question and people feel the need to ignore it and hyjack the conversation into something different. If I am getting ready to go outside and ask if it is raining, I don't want someone to avoid the question and tell me that if I am concerned about rain, I should move to…

Those are the only two options? How about a third option: Try to get it right.

If you ate a twinkie five days in a row and recorded it as such in your journal and then you ate a twinkie on the sixth day after you first removed all the delicious filling from the middle, would you still record it in your journal the same way as you did the previous days? Would you totally ignore that you removed a huge…

Been twice now. Starting to figure it out. learning the tendencies of the ocean and how to ride a wave while bodysurfing makes me dream about being able to do the upright kind down the road a bit. it's a great goal to work toward. i know each time I go out, i get a great workout and am one step closer to experiencing…

threads like this are so frustrating and found all over the wide, wide world of the interweb. Question - How do I calculate the reduction in calories when I prepare my food X way? Answer - I am going to totally ignore what you are asking and instead tell you something else.

When I make hamburgers in the pan, the pan is dry at the end. That fat has to be somewhere (ie in my stomach). When I make it on the GFG, there is a huge, disgusting layer of fat on the grill and in the tray. If you dont see a difference in calories consumed in those two methods, then I dont know what to tell you. That's…

This is an attitude I could simply never have. If I could be happy with my stats by saying "whatever fat came out in the grilling process only evens out what sneaks in throughout the day", then my numbers for all days when I dont grill would then have to be adjusted. If I eat the exact same thing for two days in a row,…

i suppose my only option if i want to keep accurate books is to lick the drip tray clean after each burger
-
it is simply impossible that the grill doesnt change the fat/calorie content somewhat. the package says 240 calories per patty, and that is the number I would use if I let it thaw and made a meatloaf or something out of it (ie something where I wouldnt drain any fat). but there's a ton of white gluey fat in tray. that's…

this thread has inspired me. i have had such a hard time getting motivated to go to the gym. i generally hate to be around a lot of people, and my old gym in kentucky was a ghost town from 9pm-11. I would show up and feel comfy and alone the entire time. But now that I have moved to San Diego, my new gym is like a frat…

thanks all. but because of that video of the whale almost eating the kayaker and surfer, i am afraid to go into the pool.

why do i need to know? because i am obsessed with data and progress. the only way i can keep myself motivated is to constantly look for small milestones in the exercises i do. like breaking X time in three miles or being able to X reps of 100 LBs on the bench press. I love recording everything i do and charting my…

No. Thats what I hate. I hate having to keep anything on my mind other than making sure I keep moving and breathing. If I find a good counter that works, I would even consider turning it inside out or putting it in my trunks so I wouldnt be tempted to look at it during the swim. I see my question is all jacked up, so I…

I am 5'9 1/2 My goal is 30 lbs of fat. So that can either be 180 (30 fat + 150 FFM), 190 (30 fat +160 FFM), etc. It all depends on how much muscle I gain/lose during my weight loss.

I agree. Especially if it is an oversized shirt that provides lots of flashes of the bra itself. The temptation and hint of exposure is usually more exciting than the real thing.

Although I wouldnt call myself a "runner", I have done 1 hour on the treadmill for 14 straight saturdays (I also do 1 mile on a track and 2 miles on the treadmill during the week as part of a seven day workout plan). Anyway, I have increased my distance each of the 14 saturdays. I started only being able to do 3.0…

I refuse to do a day of rest. Today will be 99 days in a row of working out without a day of rest. I consider Saturdays to be my day of rest because all I do is an hour on the treadmill.

i cant do the trainer thing. i hate people. especially people like that. every trainer I have ever met reminds me of the guy Jennifer Aniston worked with on Office Space.

Amy Winehouse. Love her voice and her non-traditional good looks. She also seems to have some interesting things to say. *checks news* Wait, strike that.

feels kinda weird having a dude give me this advice. i feel like i should ask you if these pants make my butt look big next.

When I was young, I used to think my mom was crazy for saying Sinead O'Conner was beautiful and had nice "bone structure". When I see those 1980s videos now, I totally see it. In fact, Sinead, if you are reading this, nothing compares to you.

I decided recently to go from balding to close cropped. Also doing the goatee. i think it makes me look a little mean tho. I really like the way the goatee looks now that I have lines and structure on my cheeks and jaw. Didnt look as good with a rounder face.
