    Wow... I've been contemplating shaving my head for a while, as my bald spot is growing... Reading this thread has moved me closer to actually doing it.

    Maybe in 11 more pounds, when I get below 200, I'll go for the shaved-head-goatee look....

    Why wait? At first it will take a bit of getting use to, but once you do it is worth it all the way. I took the leap 12 years ago and have never looked back.

    I think bald is way better than balding. Some men do great with the look.

    My hubby however has a full thick head of hair so He is my preference.....

    I agree with many of the other ladies here, depends on the guy. Bald heads can be very sexy but so can a thick head of hair to grab onto! :wink:

    I decided recently to go from balding to close cropped. Also doing the goatee. i think it makes me look a little mean tho. I really like the way the goatee looks now that I have lines and structure on my cheeks and jaw. Didnt look as good with a rounder face.

    Bald men are sexy (unless accompanied by unattractive qualities... Archie Bunker is NOT sexy... funny... not sexy.)
    BUT
    Comb-overs are NOT sexy... at all.

    I decided recently to go from balding to close cropped. Also doing the goatee. i think it makes me look a little mean tho. I really like the way the goatee looks now that I have lines and structure on my cheeks and jaw. Didnt look as good with a rounder face.

    If you like the way closely cropped looks, then go all the way. What else do you have to loose, the rest of your hair? You are already on that path, why delay what is going to happen anyway? I knew it was going to happen to me by the time I was 18yrs old. When it got down to my hair looking like mange, I pulled the trigger and did the deed.

    When I was young, I used to think my mom was crazy for saying Sinead O'Conner was beautiful and had nice "bone structure". When I see those 1980s videos now, I totally see it.

    Ouch!!! I see your point. BUT as someone who has been down this path, I know how hard it is to make the jump.

    It doesn't bother me. I would rather have if shaved off than parital there. I think it looks more professional and well kept. Best of luck!
