I guess Lil_Northern_Light is about 26, married, and a preschool teacher.

They say that the most important part is that you rest in between so you don't get shin splints, sore feet, etc. If you think you need more cardio, walk, swim, ride a bike, rollerblade, or whatever else instead.

I notice that every time I lose a few pounds, everything feels "softer" for a while.... especially my muffin top. I guess I've burned some of the fat & maybe the skin has to catch up? I don't know... but I do know what you mean. Keep at it. Your body will be awesome soon! :)

That exact thing happens to me. I usually just slow down & run through the pain. Make sure you stretch before you run & walk for 3-5 minutes before you start to run. Good luck.

At Sonic, the Grilled Chicken Wrap is 391 calories & very tasty & filling. At McDonalds, I usually get a Cheeseburger (300 calories) and a large diet coke.

Yep, I'm on 100 mcg of Synthroid... I've been on Thyroid meds since 2007. I have a hard time losing weight now too... but part of that might also be b/c I'm 30 and I sit on my *kitten* a lot. Snacking has always been a big problem here. It has been HARD, but you'll get into a routine that works for you. Good luck!

This is how I do it too. My tea is decaffeinated though.

You want to try to net around the amount (1370, I think you said)... your body needs fuel to burn, or it'll slow down your metabolism & store up your fat. Having a few days of low net calories won't set you back, but don't make it a habit.

I completed the program last May - August, and I ran my first 5K on August 28th. I have NEVER been a runner, and it really worked well for me! I'm also in NC... so I recommend that if you're gonna start running, do it now before it gets TOO hot!

Congratulations!! :)

OMG, I HATE mascara commercials... ALL of those lashes are so clearly FAKE. It really makes me sad to think that there are people out there who really believe that crap.
-
I did C25K... I was never a runner, but I stuck with the program & completed my 1st 5K back in August. You'll be surprised at what your body can do. Stick with it... it works.

You are very likely bloated from eating salads & drinking water. Weigh yourself again in a few days. I bet you'll see a change. Keep up the good work!

Agreed.

You're most likely not eating enough. You should be eating at least 1200 (net). You have to fuel your body to keep your metabolism up.

I got tested when my son was a baby... I didn't realize I had the symptoms b/c I thought it was just part of the "new mom" package. My doctor said that my thyroid felt large when he was feeling my neck. I'm on 100 mcg of Synthroid every day. There are no side effects, but you just have to watch what you eat b/c there are…

I drink plain water, water with Propel, hot tea (no sweeteners), or diet pepsi.

Just try to remember how much of each item you take & make your best educated guess. Don't stress about it.

Calesthenics.

Individually wrapped candies... like Dove chocolates. Sometimes a Lifesaver candy or a candy cane helps, and those are low calories. Sometimes I eat Nutella on toast for breakfast... YUM.

I gained 15 lbs in college & another 15 after I got married. I don't think I'll ever get down to 135, but I'd be very happy at the 150 I weighed on our wedding day! Good Luck!!!

Naturally, everyone is different, but if you make a plan & stick to it, you can see the numbers go down on the scale as soon as the first week or two. I just weighed in for the 2nd time & I've already lost 6 lbs. I don't run & I love cookies. I just cut down the calories & try to squeeze in some exercises each day, even if…

Your version is great for those of us that aren't religious. I don't believe that prayer will make me stop eating. I realize that many people find strength through their religion, but not me. Best wishes to you!

I don't think you should schedule a cheat day... but allow yourself something totally delicious every 10 days or so, just to reward yourself & keep yourself motivated. :)

If you drank lots of water last week, you're very likely bloated & your body will adjust soon. Keep doing what you're doing & don't give up.

Actually, I'm pretty sure this site wants you to earn some of your food through exercise. I don't know if you've compared, but the daily calorie allowance on this site is a lot lower than on most other sites.
