Thank you both. My intent isn't to do long distances, I would just like to keep moving. Since I started working from home last year I'm not nearly as active. I try to set a timer/reminder to alert me to move. I do understand what you're saying about the warm up. I hadn't thought of that.

I'm 5"6 and started at 135 lbs. and am doing 1440 per day w/o exercise. This has worked for me. I tried 1200 but after about 10 days I stalled for 2 weeks. I've begun losing again at 1440 and I normally eat almost all my exercise calories. I say try it and if you stall just try upping calories just a little at a time.

hahaha! Do you go to a gym? Can you weigh there just once a week?

I agree!

Happy Birthday!!! You should be so proud of what you accomplished in just one year!!!:drinker:

The article stated that most people do well with 7-8 hours of sleep. Some people need 10!! I'll never be able to do that. It did say - "To test the hypothesis, she recruited a group of young men to spend four nights in her lab. For two nights the men were allowed to sleep only four hours, and for two nights their rest…

I buy whole flax seeds & then I grind a small amount in a coffee grinder ($12) and store them in my fridge. I put 2 tablespoons in my smoothie every morning. You don't taste it at all. I also sprinkle it over spagetti. I'm sure you could sprinkle it on anything.

I'm sure it can be done but my fear is that if you have one meal with 1200 calories then it's going to be much harder to stay on track. Later that day when you get hungry again you will need/want to eat and when you do you won't lose weight. The other scenerio is that it will just be too hard to keep it under 1200 when…

I haven't been on MFP very long but the only time I didn't register a loss was when I had a long workout and didn't eat back my calories (and drink enough water). I think I'd stick with MFP. It seems to work for alot of people and it seems safer. If that doesn't work then maybe you should try not eating exercise calories.

I'm not a big veggie eater either. I know it takes a few minutes (6-7) but I have a strawberry, banana & OJ smoothie every morning for breakfast with a scoop each of Green Super Foods, Flax seed & Hemp Protein. That way I know I'm getting some healthy protein, fiber & veggies every day.

Congratulations!! You should really be proud!
