Someone fun who loves to laugh! :)

I've always been a "stress eater"... It's how I dealt with anxiety. In the last 4 years my Dad died suddenly from a heart attack and my Mom died of cancer. My weight went up and down through all of it. When my marriage failed a year later, I kept on "dealing with it" best I could. And all the while I felt worse and saw my…

Powerful. If we could all just ask, "What can I do to help them?" What a fantastic spirit.

Incredibly inspirational! Thank you!

You are the amazing shrinking woman! And gorgeous from the start! Wow! Great job! =D

This site / app is awesome. I lost over 30 lbs and regained it when I fell off the wagon and stopped using this. Plus the support of the people here is fantastic. I'm back and not leaving =)

I was a young teenager in my first job at a fast food restaurant. We were required to ask customers questions to encourage them to order more ("would you like fries with that?"). This guy says "sure" to everything I asked until he spits out.... "If I keep going I'll be as fat as you". It prob wasn't the meanest thing…

There are definitely people here to help with motivation - friends are fantastic!

I usually try to keep it within 100 calories (air popped popcorn is a great filler with a large glass of water) or 200 calories (1 cup low sugar cereal like Special K or Cheerios) and 1/2 cup 1% milk. Sometimes I try to see where I'm lacking and fill in the gap - like if I could use some more fruit, I'll slice up an apple…

My #1 go to snack is Almonds (skin on, low salt). They are so portable. I keep exact portions everywhere (work, purse, car) and fruit so I never get too hungry... Because once I do it's tougher to make good choices. And I try to eat homecooked (and rarely from a box or can). Much easier to control sodium that way.…

You sound just like me! Hope we can push each other toward the goals.

Nuts, nuts, nuts and more nuts. Avocado is great too! [/quote] Definitely. I eat almonds pretty much everyday. They are perfectly portable. I have portions in snack bags in my car, purse and at work so I can munch on a few slowly, enjoying the flavor not allowing myself to get too hungry which will lead me,to reach for…

I agree! Also - watching the processed foods. So much sodium. The closer to natural is better. Feel free to add me too :)

The song that immediately comes to mind is Nickleback's "Just to Get High". That beat is just exactly perfect for my pace of running and it never fails to bring me through when I think I can't go another step.

My weight is the same this week. But thats ok - I will have a loss next week! I'm doing something new today - going to play a parents vs. kids basketball game with my son. Something I definitely wouldn't have done before losing this weight! :)

Here's another idea to mix it up..... I love tossing some almonds in my salads and on my yogurt. They help give you that protein boosting staying power, they're low in saturated fat and are so nutritious: http://www.nutsforalmonds.com/nutrition.htm

MFP support, remembering that I have better health now, that I usually feel like what I eat (garbage energy in / garbage energy out) and I gave away most of my old clothes so I have to keep it off so I can wear the new stuff this summer! :glasses:

Count me in! I'm looking forward to have this to focus on. This is a great goal for me. Once I complete this, I hope to do a "last 10 lbs challenge" which will put me into the "healthy" BM"i range :) I'm excited! :) Starting Weight: 181 Goal Weight: 165 3/17: 3/24: 3/31: 4/7: 4/14: <<<mini goal: 175>>> 4/21: 4/28: 5/5:…

I'm not giving up anything - just making sure it fits within the calories. And some things I have to make sure I eat them at certain times our else I'll binge. So a little square of chocolate after a full dinner is smarter for me than on it's own (because then I'd want much more).

My husband works only nights. We've been happily married for 15 years :) You make the moments count.

Have you considered charting it daily? Add up the week's weigh ins, divide by 7 and that gives you the average weight for the week. Report the last weigh in or the average for the week, just be consistent. You'll likely get tired of it and just do it once a week after awhile of making work of it. I used to weigh daily too…
