Amazing story! Well done, you're inspirational :)

Honestly, when I was a UK size 14 (before I started MFP properly) I FELT incredibly fat and what really shocked me was that my BMI was classed as overweight, I'm 5'6". So I would have classed myself as fat but none of my friends or family would ever have classed me as 'fat', they tell me now that they never saw me as fat!…

Ah yeah I completely understand those days, I was trapped in that cycle for years and was getting more and more unhappy. I think for me it helped realising that this was never going to be a quick fix and for once I didn't give myself any pressure or tell anyone, I just quietly got on with it. It can be so difficult and…

Thank you all so much

Ah congratulations on your loss, sounds great! I agree on the expensive part, a pair of shorts I bought a few months ago in a smaller size now don't fit but yes there are worse problems

Thank you both, lovely comments

Aw thank you, it's lovely to hear this has been motivating to someone as I have found so many people on this site incredibly motivating! 17lbs is an amazing loss, I for one know how difficult it can be so really well done, I wish you lots of luck on your journey, I bet you look fantastic!

Ah thank you! I'm 5'6" and honestly am surprised at how much of a change 18lbs is!! I originally planned to lose a fair bit more but am so happy with how I look at just this weightloss! If you're 4'11" then I imagine 18lbs will have such a noticeable difference!

I do this and have lost over a stone since January. I am careful and under my calorie goal Monday - Thursday and then eat 'normally' over Friday and the weekend. This doesn't mean I eat a pizza and ice cream every night for those three nights, I just don't count calories and eat without stressing about my weight. I find…

I agree about the cannibal theory, Mary seemed eerily creepy! I haven't read the comics but the Telltale game has a creepy dairy farm that seems idyllic and perfect to begin with but you later discover they are cannibals and just lure people in to eat them...it was my first thought when I saw how weirdly calm and 'nice'…

This girl is awful! Two of her recent videos are just scare-mongering ones about how 'toxic' and 'harmful' meat and fish are... Avoid her and her 'fruit' jewellery like the plague.

Hi there! I started in an almost identical situation as you are, I am 5'6" and was 11 stone 5lbs. I started at the beginning of January and now weight 10 stone 9lbs. My end goal is 9 stone 5lbs. My journey is a slow one but for me it's a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix diet so as long as the scales go in the right…

Your post from 3rd March 2014 is interesting OP... 'TOPIC: Running question.... 15k marathon coming up Mon 03/03/14 06:22 AM So I haven't run more than 5k... wait more than 2k in the last 7 years. I started dropping weight, did bootcamp/crossfit/rowing, but since it's winter time, I didn't get a chance to run outside until…

200ml almond milk handful of frozen strawberries handful of frozen blueberries half a small banana a dash of honey This makes a really delicious, ice cold smoothie (due to the frozen fruit!). I usually buy a punnet of strawberries (then cut them up) and a punnet of blueberries at the start of the week to freeze and then I…

I will probably make American style pancakes with fresh blueberries, strawberries and bananas, drizzled with some honey...perfect!

I used to be from Gloucestershire but have recently moved to Oxford! Feel free to add me :)

This is not very helpful at all. I think you should just carry on with your plan as normal, weight loss is not an easy thing and we all have bad days. The important thing is to just carry on, tomorrow is always a new day and one off bad days will not effect you at all in the long term!

Haha I'm sorry! It's just the way they built it up so much that I just thought it was too predictable to be her?! Maybe it's Carol at the door?! I wish we could find out sooner!!
