I usually throw a bit of everything in the blender, but here's a delicious fruit smoothie I made the other day :

1 medium blood orange (the really dark ones)
    half a banana
    a splash of coconut water
    3 strawberries
    a handful of grapes
    a handful of blueberries
    1 small apple
depending on how thick or liquid you want it to be, add some skim milk.

Optional : 1 tablespoon of oats. gives the smoothie a richer texture.

    200ml almond milk
    handful of frozen strawberries
    handful of frozen blueberries
    half a small banana
    a dash of honey

This makes a really delicious, ice cold smoothie (due to the frozen fruit!).

I usually buy a punnet of strawberries (then cut them up) and a punnet of blueberries at the start of the week to freeze and then I have fresh smoothies every morning for breakfast!
  • Sorry to hijack your thread but does anyone know if you can add frozen spinach to a smoothie without thawing it first? Or does it need to be thawed?

OP- my favourite smoothie's coconut water, pineapple, banana, tsp agave :)
