  • Insanity completed!!! Due to an injury I had a 3 week break in the middle, and my nutrition suffered during that so my weight loss results weren't as good as I hoped, but I lost 9lbs, and 3" off my waist, 2" off my hips, 1" from each thigh. My arms and legs look more toned and my running got a lot faster. Here are my fit…
  • Nice going! Is Max 30 harder than Insanity? Max interval Plyo done today. Getting pretty fatigued, and I'm so hungry I'm eating over my calories, but 2 days left! And I did still feel pretty strong in some of the exercises. The power jumps in the first circuit always kill me though.
  • It took me a couple weeks to be able to get through the month 2 warm ups without needing to stop, and even now I find it challenging! You've got this!
  • Oh man that's rough. Hope you recover fast. Enjoy the rest, lots of stretching and look after yourself!
  • Great job! :-D I only tried one Max 30 workout so far, knackered me out! I was thinking of trying it next though. Max Cardio Conditioning today, total sweat fest! 4 days of Insanity to go!!!!
  • Thanks for this. I was planning on taking a diet break after Insanity, I was hoping I could hold off for another couple weeks. Good to hear it's working for you. Do you find you have more energy?
  • I have 10 days left of Insanity and I'm so over it. Having a lot of trouble motivating myself to press play today, and my nutrition fell off 3 weeks ago (it's still way better than it was before and I'm eating below maintenance but with less of a deficit due to fatigue, and I added chocolate back in lol). I'm 3 weeks…
  • I figure they're not accurate at all, I never pay attention to mine. I looked this morning and apparently my BF% is 17%, which is very unlikely because I'm 145lbs at 5'3. Oh how I wish it were true! I'd say pay no attention to what the scale says here and use other measurements and how your clothes fit.
  • I wanted to eat more so I wanted a bigger burn lol. I just prefer cardio. But I think I learned my lesson! It was recommended to me to do the Fit Test on the rest day before so you don't have to do them both the same day, so that's what I have been doing. I did my 4th fit test this weekend. There is no way I'd be able to…
  • Yesterday I didn't feel like doing the recovery workout (I had tons of energy) so I did Cardio Power and Resistance from month 1 instead. Today was Max cardio conditioning and it suuuucked. Maybe I should have done the recovery workout after all lol.
  • My go-to breakfast is oatmeal with a square of dark chocolate and some frozen raspberries. Because yum. If you like oatmeal there are lots of recipes online for overnight oats so you could just grab it in the morning. If I'm going for an early run (oatmeal sits too heavy in the stomach) I'll grab a banana or half a bagel.…
  • Max interval plyo this morning. Tough going, and I feel completely sapped of energy this afternoon (after a trip to the park with the toddler), but at least it's done.
  • I second what jefamer said. Also add focus on form over anything else. Push yourself as much as you can, but if your form is failing take a break. Be mentally prepared, know that it is meant to be difficult and breaks are fine, don't expect to be as good as the people in the video, just give it your all and you'll get…
  • Honestly, I found that during the first year, just as soon as I thought we were settling into a routine something would change again. It could be teething, it could be a mental leap (these are biggies and can really explain changes in behavior and sleeping patterns), it could be a change in sleep or food requirements for…
  • After taking yet another week break due to shoulder injury I'm back on Insanity month 2, on week 2 now, I'm determined to finish this thing! My eating suffers when I'm not working out the same so I put 2lbs back on during my break, so my final results probably won't be so good.
  • That's fantastic! Congratulations!!! Are you taking a week reocvery or diving straing into the next one?
  • I've been using panache sports bras for running for years (32F), great support and some cute designs. I wear the non wired version that can adjust to a racerback, but I've heard good things about their wired sports bras too. Honestly I recommend getting fitted at a professional bra shop, not your average department store.…
  • Dagnabbit my shoulder injury flared up again so it's back to running this week. So frustrated, I killed last week's insanity month 2 week 1, I just want to finish the thing!
  • I think I did 3 months too but it's my first round, didn't think I'd do more but now I want to I'm thinking of just buying a year access.
  • Week 1 of Insanity month 2 done! Today I traded my workout for a 9.5 mile run, my longest run by far in months and yet I went at a great pace for me and had energy left in the tank. I'm amazed at how much Insanity is helping my running, I feel so much stronger!
  • You'll get there! I still have to take a ton of pauses but the people in the video do too so I don't worry about it. If you're getting bored repeating month 1 maybe mix it up with some max 30 workouts? How many weeks do you have left?
  • I'm finally back on track with Insanity month 3, only slight modifications for my neck/shoulder injury that is mostly better. Today was max cardio conditioning, really challenging but I kinda enjoyed it. I'm feeling that two week break though.
  • My shoulder is still injured so month 2 of insanity is still on hold, but I've been doing modified max 30 workouts to maintain as much as possible.
  • They say it takes 9 months to put on the baby weight, expect at least 9 months to lose it. You are doing amazing! You just created a human being, your body has been put through the ringer, and you are a superhero! Enjoy your time with the little one, be kinder to yourself, and as others have said log your food consistently…
  • Max interval plyo. Stupidly pushed play despite the pulled muscle in my neck/shoulder, and had to stop 10 minutes early due to the pain. Hoping I haven't just messed up my entire week.
  • Glad you figured it out! Feel free to add me, since we're both doing Insanity and we're a similar weight :-)
  • Your Insanity burn is definitely less than you think. Also I see you log running at 5.5 min mile... that's crazy fast, are you sure it wasn't a 5.5mph, meaning 11 min miles? Eta: I'm doing Insanity too, I wish it burned that many, it definitely feels like it sometimes! Keep going at it! I've been logging it as circuit…
  • First Day of Insanity Month 2, Max Interval Circuit. 1 hour of brutality. I had to take so many pauses but looking forward to seeing the progress in 4 weeks time!
  • Thanks Whey! I'm half excited for Month 2, and half anxious! I'm expecting to have to modify some things. Nice job on the Cardio Conditioning, I think it's a feat in itself to make it through those hour long challenging workouts!
  • Third fit test of Insanity completed! Progress from Day 1: Switch Kicks: 54 to 106 Power Jacks: 32 to 51 Power Knees: 70 to 90 Power Jumps: 23 to 28 Globe Jumps: 5 to 8 Suicide Jumps: 13 to 15 Push-Up Jacks: 12 to 21 Low Plank Obliques: 20 to 25 Feeling exhausted but very pleased! Month 2 starts tomorrow, eeps.
