  • Crazy how things like that happen! My two brothers were born on the same day, 13 years apart!
  • Name or nickname & Team? Kate, team Red Hot Chilli Steppers! Your Approximate Location: North-central Massachusetts, USA Favorite summer activity? Swimming at a local rock “gorge” Fun, interests, hobbies? Making wine, cooking/baking, snuggling with my puppies & kitties (can you see why I might need to lose 5%?!) Favorite…
  • This seems like a fun team, Sign me up please!
  • Are you saying your current weight is 109 lbs or 10 stone 9 lbs (so 149 lbs?)?

  • If you’re already paying for it, try out the different programs to see which one works best for you! The programs have descriptions so you can likely find one suitable to your needs and abilities. I am a fan of the 21 day fix workouts (not real-time… I find the banter in real-time amongst the cast to be annoying). When I…
  • Great job on finishing the 5k anyway!! Was it by any chance cold during your run? I have found that my phone will die if it’s really cold, even if it was fully charged at the start! Super annoying because once I plug it in again, it will say there’s 60% battery! Not an old phone or battery either, just doesn’t like the…
  • The sync in your Fitbit app is just letting you know that the device has synced with the Fitbit app, not MFP. I’m not sure about the “last synced” on MFP, because sometimes mine will say synced, but the steps at the top of my app (iPhone) do not match what my Fitbit says. There may be answers in the link that was posted…
  • I guess the way I read it, and it may have been phrased a different way in another article, is that you estimate maintenance calories from your current body weight... not your starting. Unless he further reduces it to account for any adaptive thermogenesis that may have already taken place?
  • Thank you! I’m not sure I’ve seen that thread yet, a different thread came up in my original search that was pretty much the same text as the link I referenced above. The video in that thread is on my “to watch” list, and based on some of the comments, it looks like that video may answer some of my macros questions.…
  • Thanks! & good to know! I have a couple of podcast interviews with Lyle saved to my watch list, but they’re each about an hour long, and just haven’t had time to watch them yet. I am pretty consistent with eating my fat and protein minimums, I sometimes have “off” days (but don’t we all) but then eat over them other days,…
  • I hear ya. & granted I don’t know these people, so I don’t know how far workout guy will go... but I worry for college girl-turned woman’s safety since he’s clearly showing stalking behaviors!
  • You said everyone involved is married, does this include workout guy? If so, should someone get his wife involved and maybe she can talk some sense into him?
  • The reason why some people eat only a portion of earned exercise calories is because exercise machine burn estimates are notorious for being inflated and not realistic to the amount actually burned. I think you have a great mindset, though. Good luck!
  • I grew up with Pokemon, but really have no interest in the app (I'm not much for playing games on my phone). I am just annoyed with everyone talking about it all the time! I have coworkers who constantly feel the need to tell me which Pokemon are around and which one's they've caught., ect... It's like, dude, I don't care.…

  • The last time you use the loo for the day is 4:15pm, I suggest making some time for the loo before heading to bed to avoid any accidents and/or UTIs
  • I developed runner's knee last year when training for a half marathon. I was focusing on too much running (adding too many, miles too quickly) and not taking proper rest days, but what I think really did me in was that I had taken my focus away from my lifting and yoga routines. Having well rounded training plans are key…
  • My favorite are Marie Callendar's. you would have to look at the nutrition info because many are over 400 calories, but there are a good amount that are between 300-400.
  • Not sure about edamame, most stores near me only have it in the frozen veggie section. Hummus at stores near me are by the deli with the store deli packaged block/shredded/grated cheeses (not in the dairy section with the name brand block cheese)
  • The boyfriend and I just broke up, so I've been D deficient for a while now.. Didn't realize it was so common... even among men!
  • Shmul, what on earth are you talking about?
  • Really?! If you look manly, then *kitten*, sign me up! :drinker:

  • They are some pretty great stories! I have never been proposed to but when it eventually happens I want no part in it. I don't want to pick out the ring (I've never even gone into a jeweler or browsed through a magazine). I don't want to know when it's going to happen. I don't want to know where it's going to happen. I…
  • :noway: What a rip-off! I have yet to see them in stores around me to see what they go for, but I buy them off amazon. $26-$28 for a box of 12, so it works out to be a little over $2 a bar. My favorites are apple pie, cinnamon roll, chocolate PB, & strawberry cheesecake. I think any of the ones with "cookie" bits in them…

  • Maybe your doctor will tell you something different, but mine have always said as long as your body is consistent, there's not really a minimum amount of pooping you need. So if you are consistently only pooping only 3-4 days a week, and that's normal for you, then it's no big deal. If on the other hand you are normally a…
