Use lower fat ground beef. Make smaller patties. I've yet to find buns that have less than 140 calories unfortunately, or you can buy slider buns (I like the idea of slicing a bun into 3s though... never thought of that).

Heck I'm still working on last year's Holiday weight.

The problem with shrimp is that they are either fried or covered in oil, lol - except in shrimp cocktails. Appetizers are often a calorie bomb, so I laugh at the 'just have an appetizer' comments sometimes. Salads... unless I crave something specific, I skip them, because they always add nuts/seeds or fruit, and IMO…

That's what trainers are for... Don't most gyms have trainers out that can help newbies?

Gosh, I could eat 3000 calories in a meal. Easy. French fries and dessert and you have over 1000 calories right there. OP, it really helps to plan your days and figure out when you are the most hungry. I know that if I plan a bigger dinner, I'll end up being over on calories that day because I'm hungrier during the day and…

It's so good though... My favorite is sashimi... but it's hard to find GOOD sashimi (it's cut too thick or whatnot), so I often end up just having salmon sushi or salmon maki (sometimes with avocado). Obviously, salmon is my favorite. If there's chirashi, I'll get it though (but again, it's about one cup of sushi rice, so…

Maybe you had a big poop.

Bingo. New Year resolutions are stupid. But my own take on the gym - I went for 4 years and just stopped because I ended up spending most of my time on the treadmill, and it was just cheaper and more convenient to just buy one and exercise at home (I have dumbbells too, but let's be honest... I just hate lifting). I never…

I can seriously say that my body has been a huge sabotage factor in that 'trying to stay thin' problem. Still trying to figure out a way to reduce my heavy periods - after 3 months wasted in paperwork, my GYN told me that it would be very difficult to put a Mirena in my uterus because of the way it's positioned. News flash…

Well, a lot of healthy things are high calories (like nuts, oil etc). But in this case, it just makes absolutely no sense... chicken is low cal, chick peas and olives are not bad, and it's not like the veggies are adding many calories either. Of course with the 46g of fat, well, considering that none of the ingredients…

I don't like most crockpot meals so not much help from me about those. But I'd focus on making bigger batches when you cook something, and having ready to heat food in the fridge or freezer. Frozen veggies, precooked sausage/grilled chicken (still cheaper than eating out)/ham steaks... you can have a meal ready in 10…

More than once, when I entered the recipe, the calories were actually DOUBLE what the website stated.

Ditto. I liked them when I started losing and was severely restricting myself, but now I find that they all have a bad aftertaste, and they are not filling at all.

... how in the world is that 1100 calories? It must be a VERY big piece of chicken. Also, 104g of carbs in that is just.. odd. That amount of chickpeas and veggies should not be that many carbs. I would contact whoever is offering that meal and ask for more specifics. Something doesn't add up. Other than that, these are…

Cups are very inaccurate anyway. Use your scale when possible, if you can't, find an entry in cups and use that I guess. Doesn't MFP have an option to use Kj instead of calories?

Breakfast sandwiches or burritos. Easy to make in bath and freeze, or you can be lazy like me and buy them already made (I like Jimmy Dean Delights). Or make a big quiche (crustless or not), and you can cut a piece and reheat in the morning. You can make mini ones too but it's not as easy as dumping everything in one pan.…

Your calorie goal might just be too low. It needs to be sustainable.

Not a fan of either. Can't get over the artificial aftertaste.

Which is true.. but I doubt that most of us would manage to reach the intensity of an athlete either. I mean, I'm sure that 1000 calories an hour is possible, but actually running at an incline (and probably being over 200 pounds)... Ellipticals overestimate calories by quite a bit, as you don't actually propel your body…

Annihilation. Not bad!

Remember it can be 30% off the nutrition info, and it can be heavier than what the package says on top of that. Let's be real too - there was a video around a couple years ago where they analyzed the calorie content of a lot of things, and some things were actually twice the calories than what the package says. Sure, it's…

I'm not even quite 5"5 and I couldn't maintain 140, so yeah... (I do have a medium/large frame).

The cookie too though. I'm not sure which is worse, honestly, lol. I like the thins better either way... Those false 'protein' products really annoy me. Still a better protein ratio than a serving of peanut butter though...

Dunkin croissants are garbage. I might have to try Panera one day, but I really have super high standards when it comes to croissants (I did grow up in France after all).

Aquaman here too. Way too predictable but fun, and absolutely gorgeous (the movie, of course :D). Mary Poppins Returns two days before and I was not impressed.

You, lady, are amazing!

I'm very proud of it :) :) :)

Yes we need an update!

Yeah it's fishy... it's mostly flour. It would have to be one tablespoon of flour per bagel to be that low calories. I'm guessing it's because there's so much fiber, they get away with not counting the calories from it...

I've been on MFP for almost 6 years! It took me about 1.5 year to lose 80 lbs out of the 84 I wanted to lose, and I've slowly gained 25 lbs back since. Honestly... I had to restrict myself way too much to lose the weight, and it wasn't sustainable, and my hunger shot up once I reached my lowest, and I started to have…
