^^^ This! I gain about 3-4 lbs a few days before my TOM, but it always goes away. It used to really freak me out until I realized it was a pattern.

Not accurate. My weight loss is much slower than they predict.

True. It's not made for activities where you aren't walking, running, or climbing. So it would be completely inaccurate for cycling (thought I did find it accurate for elliptical). For activities like that you have to either get a HRM or use the estimates on this site. Fitbit also has it's own estimates for workouts like…

The confusion may be stemming from the fact that diabetics like myself can suffer from hypoglycemia. As a diabetic when my blood sugar is low I absolutely have to eat something with sugar in it like juice or hard candy.

Sorry to hear you're having a bad day. Getting this kind of news can be pretty overwhelming, but with exercise and a good diet you really can change your life. I've had type two for over five years and my blood sugar is very well controlled. You can look at my diary (it's open to everyone). I'll warn you though yesterday I…

^^^This. You will not be able to stick to 800 calories a day net. Heck, you probably can't stick to 1200 because at that level you're still probably starving. Do more research and figure out what a 500 calorie deficit is for you. You'll lose about a pound a week that way. You'll be happier and you'll actually be able to…

Funny. That's EXACTLY what I get whenever I go to Chipotle. I realized a long time ago that I prefer the vegetarian option there. It tastes much better.

Get the fitbit ultra! It's especially good for women bc you can wear it on your bra and no one ever has to see it. I don't like the idea of always having to war a bracelet. I've had mine for over a year and wouldn't go anywhere without it now.

You're wrong. It's only talking about the front of Caron labeling. Go and read the actual request.

All ingredients will be on the label by law. The issue isnifnthey have to change the front packaging on milk so that is days something that indicates that it's sweetened with an artificial sweetener. It's not like they can put something in there without telling us. From the USDA: "“The Food and Drug Administration’s food…

The process to reduce the fat content seems fairly complicated: Ingredients: PEANUTS (AS DEFATTED PEANUT FLOUR AND NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER), TAPIOCA SYRUP, PURE WATER, DEHYDRATED CANE JUICE, RICE SYRUP, VEGETABLE GLYCERIN, SOY FLOUR, SALT, TAPIOCA STARCH, NATURAL FOOD FLAVORS, PAPRIKA & ANNATO, CALCIUM CARBONATE, LECITHIN,…

The above study actually seems like a really good overview of studies done on the effects of vinegar. The part that caught my eye was under the Blood Glucose section: "Vinegar ingestion, as compared with placebo, reduced the 60-minute glucose response to the test meal (−54%, P < .05) and weakly affected later energy…

Wikipedia can be a great source of information if you use it as a place to find sources just as he has done. Read the information and the sources before discounting someone's very well written and well forced post just because t mention Wikipedia. Great post!

I certainly do that by spreading the calories out over the few days after going way over like you suggest. I'm not sure what other people will say, but guessing its a lot healthier than trying to make up the calories in one day. You can also make sure you work out a little harder to make some up.

I hear the process they put the peanuts through actually takes out the majority of the nutrients that make peanut butter nutritious. Below is one blog I found on this issue. May not be worth the effort to search it out. http://foodbabe.com/2012/09/16/the-truth-about-pb2-powdered-peanut-butter/

I'm 5'6" and currently 135lbs. My lowest weight was 129 right after I got back from studying abroad in China (everyone else seems to gain weight there, but I always lose). I thought I looked pretty good at that weight so I think that's my goal for now. May be looking at getting down to 125 eventually, but it really depends…

I put on this tight party dress I bought ages ago just for fun and realized I actually look really good in it.

I've lost a lot of weight over the years ( going for a little over 200lbs to 135 lbs today). When I was heavier I wore a 38DD and have shrank all the way down to a 34B. I don't know how common that is, but I lost a lot ( too much!) up there.
-
Way to go! I know exactly what that feels like and how great it is to finally be able to cross your legs.

Add yogurt, nuts, and other higher calorie healthy foods. If your consistently under your goal try cutting back on the special low calorie prepared foods.
-
Go to the "Apps" tab up top on MFP> scroll down to the fitbit icon (not the one for the scale) and click on "read more"> on the right hand side under "how to buy" it says something like "sync fitbit." Click on that and give them the information they need to connect it.

I walk at least 10,000 steps a day in as well. I think it's more what you should be doing everyday. Do you have a fitbit?

Sugar is sugar twin. I think a lot of people only think sugar is bad if it's coming from added sugars like pop, but fruit juice can be just as sugary and bad. I always cut my smoothies with yogurt.
