The premium was not worth it to me. I am glad I only paid for a month because I would have been upset to get the year and not feel like it was worth the money. I honestly didn't notice much difference at all. As a diabetic, I am still able to very easily track my calories and carbohydrates with the regular site and am able…

Nice job! I know it's super tough to stop that cycle once it starts.

Definitely the hormonal risks scared me. But other then that after I got past the first few weeks I felt really good and lost weight and what was kind of an alarming rate! I do remember having hot flashes during that time and dealing with sleep distribances the first week. Never had hot flashes before or since. Also weird…

Hey everyone! My name is Rikki and I currently weigh 138 lbs at 5'6". I was diagnosed with type two diabetes at 26 (I was over 215 lbs at the time) and have spent many years learning how to eat healthy and move my body. I would like to weigh less, but I really just want to be accountable for what I eat on here. It's…

I was strict keto for half a year, but got concerned about hormone changes after I read that at least for women the super low carb aspect can cause problems with sex hormones. I am now on a 80 carb/day diet. High enough to stay out of ketosis, but low enough to be great for my blood sugar. Have any of you experienced…

I've been keto for about a month. Anyone doing the Keto diet should friend me! I ant more people in my feed who eat like I do.

I want to like this post 1000 times! LCHF has completely killed my desire to binge eat (and I use to do it ALL THE TIME). It's truly the only thing that has worked for me in that regard.

Thanks so much for all the replies. I think part of my problem is telling myself I absolutely can't have certain foods, so when I do I just want to have as much as I can since the day feels gone already. I know that's a dumb way to think about it and I'm trying to change that. I am type 2 diabetic, so these binges worry me…

The strange thing is I don't actually feel sad or emotionally distressed. I feel like I would understand my actions more if I did have some big stressor in my life right now that drives me to food, but I don't see it. I think I'm starting to see that this is a pattern of coping with being mildly board more than anything…

Looking to make more active friends so that we can encourage each other. It's important to me to get a real record of what I'm eating so that I can diabetes doctors about what my everyday diet is like.

Great job! You look awesome!

Nice job! This really is an amazing transformation. Looking forward to see another post a year from now.

Leanne Brown wrote a cookbook specifically for people who are looking to eat healthful food on a super low budget like yours. The book is called "Good and Cheap" and it's completely free online. Obviously I don't really know much about your situation, but if you're having a hard time getting real food on your budget I…

Based on your diary entries, you are on the road to a very unsustainable diet. It's possible to eat under 1000 calories a day for a little while, but at some point you are going to break and it's gonna cost you a lot of what you have lost. If this doesn't happen and you somehow stick with it something even worse will…

THIS! I might say something similar if I had this comment on my feed.

Butterflies and moths. I searched through these replies to see if anyone else has this fear, but it looks like I'm alone :(

Thanks for all of the helpful comments. It's only been a few days, and it already feels a lot better so. I think if it goes on for more than a week I'll go in and see someone, but for now I'll take it easy and maybe ride my bike in a few days.

LOL. Kudos on calling it shark week! I do that too.

I'm from Tulsa, OK. but living in a DC suburb right now. Welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me.

Like the others said, you should make your goal and then reevaluate. Wikipedia is user created, so we can trust it only as much as we can trust the references included in the article. I noticed there is no reference provided for her weight on the Wikipedia page and her personal website doesn't seem to mention her stats…

Be careful with the frozen indian food meals there. I use to buy those for my husband's dinner all the time, but one day I happened to looked at the fat content and realized that it has a CRAZY amount of saturated fat. Not just one of them but ALL of them have a bunch of saturated fat. It's not something I normally look…

Best thing to do is get the RunKeeper app. It's completely free, measures your distance, pace etc through your iPhone with GPS, and best of all has a tone of free training programs. I've been using it for several months and I feel like it's the best app I have for my health (other than the MFP app :) ) http://runkeeper.com/

bump! This is such a great thread. Thanks for opening my eyes.

LOL that sounds like a pretty terrible experience. Luckily I went out and bought regar one specifically for this recipe.

Feel free to look at mine.

I think the important thing is to track your food no matter what you eat or how much if it younger. It's easy to keep shoveling things in your mouth if you tell yourself it's just a lost day and you won't count it. Absolutely count everything. Seeing the actual numbers will make you stop.

bump. Cool thread!

^^^This. Your muscles retain water when you start new exercise. I'm a runner and I recently started commuting to work by bike. I gained about 2 lbs for a week before I went back to my previous weight. Just let you body get used to it.

^^^ This! I gain about 3-4 lbs a few days before my TOM, but it always goes away. It used to really freak me out until I realized it was a pattern.
