Try interval training. Warm up 3 minutes. Sprint for 1 minute. Drop back down to cruising speed for 2 minutes. Sprint again at minutes 6, 9, 12, 15, 18. Cruise for last 3 minutes. Thanks Rosebarnalice. My hubby does much of the shopping and cooking too. Good suggestions. To JaneiR36, I think I am inadvertently making him feel guilty. So he goes with me when I ask for 2 reasons 1) I asked and 2) he knows he should make some changes. But change really scares him...more than most people I'd say.

Joined a gym-go about 4 times a week. Weight lifting, interval training. Love using my Fitbit to track steps. Healthier eating. Tracking food on MFP. Weigh myself pretty much daily.

He comes with me to the gym on the weekends (free). I asked today if maybe he wanted his own membership to go as he pleases since he gets home 2 hours before I do. He said, "We'll see".

I have the same problem with the Octane Lateral elliptical machine. Does your cross trainer display calories and time at the end? If so, you can choose to Add exercise, then choose My Exercise and click on Create an Exercise. You'll need to be able to put in how long you exercised and the calories burned. If your machine…

At a decent speed (4 mi/hr), it definitely is. Not sure I'd count walking the dog, unless it's at a good brisk pace. I wouldn't count a stroll or < mile. My dietitian says "It all counts".

I've never used diet pills, but I don't think of it as cheating. Everyone needs to find what works for them for the long term. Count me in. I just started using MFP 2 days ago, but I want to keep it up. Starting weight: 192 on 1/21 Goal weight: 180 Biggest problem: I eat good stuff, but I eat too much of it. Portion control is my goal.
