The changes that have come about in your life will have greater than normal impact on your future. I would like to encourage everyone everywhere that these simple changes taking place in lifestyle choices do take time to create long lasting effects! As I've learned over a 10 day vacation to see family, it is hard sometimes to stay on track when eating out, attending football games and (the such). However, it's through the challenges that we persevere! Let us persevere together!
Stay the course! If you've fallen down, pick yourself back up--it's a brand new day and we get to have a do-over if we need one! When I was visiting my grand-daughter on my vacation we saw Cinderella (2015 Disney version)... And I came away with the simple message that could hold true for all of us! HAVE COURAGE AND BE KIND!
HAVE COURAGE this week to make it your best! No one is watching what you do, but you are here on this journey and we all have a common thread--we desire to be healthy and active! Losing weight is a grand start!
BE KIND to yourself and to others! I sometimes find that when I've made unhealthy choices it tends to reflect on how I treat others. Even though it may have been a rough few weeks, take some time to take care of you and treating others in good ways makes one feel better about who they themselves are.
Have a fabulous day!
Loved this! Thanks for posting

10/1/15: 182
10/5/15: 181
10/12/15: 181
10/19/15: 179!
A little more slow going initially than I'd hoped, but getting into the 170s has given me a boost! I've also started using my gym membership more than I ever have before. It's amazing, I feel so much better than I have in years!
Thanks, hillcrestbaby. This thread is such a boon, and it's awesome to see everyone else doing so well. I also love your motivational posts. You're amazing!
Thanks so much! I'm so glad to be here too! It's been an encouraging site to see so many so motivated to do well!0 -

I've finally hit 125lbs which was my original goal when coming on here, but I've since set the bar for 119lbs as my stretch goals.
So I will celebrate later this week with a home made pizza before moving on to those last 6lbs.

ENCOURAGING WORD...
Just losing weight is only the beginning of things! A friend of mine once lost all of her weight and told me she thought it would feel different--she thought she'd be happier. I realized after speaking with her that losing the weight won't matter much if we don't like what we see in the mirror before the weight loss. Look at yourself in the mirror! Take a good long look! So many times, I focus on the external and not what's at my inner core.
Look to the core matters in your life and within yourself without being distracted by irrelevant concerns to enjoy each season you are in. This will help you to focus on what is really important to you. When you reach your goal weight you will have already begun to enjoy who you really are at the core. I believe we must get to this place of awareness before we can realize effective progress. Don't waste your time worrying about things that have no value. Organize your day and your thoughts in such a way that you put aside the extraneous distractions and make your important priorities rise to the top.
Have a beautiful Fall day!0 -
BTW (by the way)...
We are just beginning WEEK 3 and have 7 more weeks to go to our challenge deadline. It will have been a total of 10 weeks for those who have participated from the beginning of this Fall Weight Loss Challenge! Let's all choose to better at the finish of this journey than when we began!
I see it already in many of your responses so keep up the good work, carry on and enjoy this journey of a better YOU!0 -
