  • Saint!!! I eat cereal everyday with skimmed cow's milk. :) Opt for cereals that are wholegrain and healthy, not sugary ones with hardly any good stuff in! If you like chocolatey ones then coco pops are great, I've been having them for a while and still losing plenty of weight. Oh and porridge oats with honey are great,…
  • I get a high afterwards aswell, you just feel so proud that you achieved something you couldn't do before. It's a wonderful feeling knowing your body is improving and getting fitter! :)
  • I agree with Dianna, you just need to get your body abit more used to running. I start feeling it about 15 minutes into my run, when my body is all warmed up. It's a great feeling, like you can just keep running forever! You'll know it's happening when it does. Just keep going strong with your running and you'll be buzzing…
  • I agree with fitnessclare! :)
  • If you don't care then why bother posting on this topic. Rude!!!
  • I love this song!! It never fails to cheer me up when I'm feeling low :)
  • I have 2 that I always play when I'm on the treadmill. 1. Sub Focus - Tidal Wave 2. Nero - Doomsday It's not the lyrics but the music. They always help to push me harder!! :)
  • Oh and I know other people are saying that you'll lose muscle if you don't eat back your calories, and I'm not denying that that's the truth, but this isn't the case for me. I've noticeably gained muscle in my biceps and calves. I guess it's whatever works for you. Maybe try it out both ways and see what's working out…
  • My calories is set at 1400, it used to be 1200 but I upped it to include my 200 calorie protein shake. I stay at my 1200 limit for food and try to never eat into my exercise calories. I personally have lost quite a bit of weight doing this so I recommend not eating back your exercise calories. Unless you're hungry, in that…
  • Thankyou!!! Jeez I do not like being made to look like an idiot! The people I know, know what they're talking about! But I'm not saying that's all you have to do, it was just a bit of advice is all! :)
  • Building strength: http://www.dumblittleman.com/2008/10/six-rules-of-building-strength.html?m=1 Building muscle: http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2010/08/16/what-builds-more-muscles-weight-or-repetitions/ The last one doesn't really need explaining. Over time as you get stronger then you can increase weight and reps. How is…
  • In response to the people being abit WTF about my comment. I'm only telling you what I've read up on and what personal trainers have told me. My other half used to be a personal trainer and this is what he learnt on his course. Also it's personally worked for me just fine and my alot of my gym friends who follow the same…
  • If you want to build strength, lower reps and heavier weights. If you want to build muscle, you can use the same weight or a slightly heavier one and increase your repetitions. If you want both then increase weight and reps slowly. Hope this helps :)
  • 1. White potatoes, white bread, white rice & pasta. 2. Fast food (although I have failed with this a few times). 3. Fizzy sugary drinks & juice. (I only drink water now and the rare diet coke). 4. Butter & margarine. 5. Full-fat cow's milk. (I drink skimmed milk now). Oh and I know this is an extra one but I no longer eat…
  • Oh and if you're unsure of what any of these exercises are then Google is always the answer! :D
  • Planks tighten up your core & abs more than your arms and push ups are more for your chest. I recommend front and side lateral raises and shoulder press with dumbbells for your shoulders. Bicep curls, hammer curls and 21's with dumbbells for your biceps. To work out your triceps (great for the bingo wing area), I'd do…
  • Oh and clothes-wise, I wear 3/4 length leggings, a tank top, sporty jacket, trainer socks and my running shoes!! :)
  • I tend not to worry about my wobbly bits when I'm running because I like to feel free and not uncomfortable with constrictive clothing. That being said though, lots of support for big boobies is a must!! I wear my normal bra underneath a sports bra just to stop them from smacking me in the face and to prevent them from…
  • Definitely HORROR!!! I currently have 143 horror dvds in my collection. And I don't mind which kind ie. torture, serial killers, monsters, ghosts, zombies, psychological...you name it, it's all good!!! :)
  • I love Stone Sour! I went to see them live in 2010 in Brighton! They were sooo AWESOME!!! They followed Avenged Sevenfold but Stone Sour definitely stole the show! One of my best nights gig wise! :D
  • There is also skimmed milk which is the healthiest form of cow's milk but as you're a lover of whole milk, I wouldn't recommend it for your taste buds as it's quite watery. Hope you find the answer you're looking for soon. :)
  • I wish I had an answer for you hun but I'm no expert on milk and lactose intolerance. Have you tried drinking semi-skimmed? Tastes practically the same and it's healthier. Of course I don't know what's available to you in Alaska! Xx
  • I feel exactly the same but I also feel ridiculously tired when I get home from the gym (no more late nights for me)! I tend to eat yoghurt, a cereal bar or a protein shake after a workout. I know you feel like stuffing your face, I do too but think about it and take a step back, don't ruin the fantastic workout you did!…
  • Please don't worry about what the scales say Debbie, they can be evil! If you're staying within your calories, eating healthy foods and not eating too much bad stuff, and you're exercising then that 2lbs gained is definitely not fat! It's either just water or you're building up your muscle. Remember muscle weighs more than…
  • Special K Oats & Honey :)
  • I'm 22 and from England. I've lost 7lbs so far and I have another 50lbs to go!! May lose more depending on how I feel when I reach my goal weight! ADD ME :)
  • I love my mum more than anything is this world and I support her in everything so any like-minded person I will gladly friend request. I've also sent your mum a friend request and will be happy to support her with her journey. MFP is a great site and I hope she finds it as helpful and addictive as I have! :)
  • I'm in!! I might miss out the workout tomorrow though as I have Zumba. I tried out my DVD once before but failed because it put alot of strain on my ankles and I felt so disheartened when I couldn't even do one push up! Anyone else experience this? I'm off to put my workout gear on and start today as my day one! Thank you…
