Thanks for all the helpful replies. After reading all the comments, I looked back at my food diary for the last 9 days and what I saw was pretty terrible. I consumed 16,658 calories from just fast food in only nine days. That is not even including junk food. I have decided to make a change and I'm starting a challenge to…

Is it an everyday thing for you or once in a while?

Congrats on your progress so far. It will be hard to permanently change your eating habits. There will be good weeks and bad weeks. Just remember to never quit. Keep going no matter how good or bad a day goes and make lots of friends. Good luck and feel free to add me.

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you. In college, I've gained a lot of extra weight and playing basketball helps but I get tired pretty quickly. The best advice I can give you is to record everything that you eat with MFP. It helps you stay accountable and tells you if you're eating too many calories. Also, make friends and…

I've been through many cycles of losing weight and then gaining it back due to laziness and bad habits. I have yet to find the motivation to achieve long term weight loss. Maybe we can…

Hey, I know what you mean by all or nothing when it comes to weight loss. I've lost 30 pounds in 4 months and I'm slowly going back to my old eating habits. I still have weight to lose, but it's hard to stay motivated and keep going. One thing that has helped me is to record everything I eat on MFP. Well anyways, good luck…

1. I didn't get tired walking up a flight of stairs. 2. I had to start wearing a belt in my jeans because they were too lose. 3. I didn't breathe as heavily or as loudly as I used to. 4. I noticed my chin fat get thinner and thinner Losing your first 25 pounds makes a huge difference if you have less than 60 pounds to lose.

Hey, I'm also in college and I gained my freshman 15 after a couple of semesters. Fast food is so easy and quick that it's tempting to eat it all the time. I try my best to fight the cravings and try to lose weight. Good luck on your weight loss journey! Feel free to add me for support :)
