  • Where are those carbs coming from though? Surely a mistake?
  • 5' 9", 65.5kg (10.3 stone) and wear size 10 or 12 depending on the shop and the garment. I have broad shoulders so 12s are normally needed, and muscular thighs make finding jeans to fit practically impossible! I have a size 8 hoodie but it's a little snug.
  • Super work buddy, looking great! x
  • End of primary school (age 11) I was 10 stone (65kg). My weight went up to 13 (~80kg) stone at its heaviest during secondary school. In my 2nd year of university I managed to drop down to my lowest weight 64kg, after gaining over Christmas this year I found myself at 72.2kg in January. Since then I hit the gym hard,…
  • I ran a charity 5k Race For Life for Cancer Research with my flatmate and some friends, each raising £100 or so! Great day, great cause x
  • 22 next month and proud to have got myself in shape during full time studies! Daily log with open diary, any adds welcome :) x
  • Hi Kelly! Totally agree about having lots of motivational fitness pals! I log daily with an open food and exercise diary, so sent a wee friend request :) Laura x
  • I have just recently been diagnosed with IBS, and whilst medication is currently controlling the bloating/cramping cycle, I still struggle with feeling sick almost every day. I have tried gluten and wheat free and don't think that is a trigger as there have been times when I've eaten bread and other foods containing gluten…
  • I soak quinoa overnight and then blend with water to make a doughy paste. Bake and use as a pizza base, really filling and not nearly as damaging! I blogged about making quinoa pizza earlier in the year :) http://laurabesto.tumblr.com/post/77295291303/quinoa-pizza
  • An old rescue greyhound and a wee lurcher. Absolutely bonkers the pair of them! x
  • Yeah I do think I get enough from meals generally and I know that is preferable to taking it in as a shake. Thanks, will have a look! x
  • I'm actively trying to shred body fat but I'm not wanting to get to competition level size or anything like that!
  • Yeah I realise now that sounded a bit daft haha! I guess I meant that I wasn't lifting heavy on the bar or anything, but you're right in that I still get DOMS after weight machines. I do find myself hitting calorie and macros through 3 main meals and then a lot of snacks so I'm thinking of replacing some of the snacking…
  • I've just recently had trouble with IBS and suspected gluten/wheat intolerance so right now eating is quite unpleasant for me as I try to work out what will set me off and what is safe. Even worse when it seems to change on a daily basis! :(
  • One of my flatmates constantly makes comments about how much and how often I eat, despite the fact I know the precise nutritional and calorific details of each meal, and rarely exceed a net intake above 1900cal. However when she eats it's all frozen, greasy rubbish like potato waffles, chicken kievs and chips. Used to…
  • Hey! I log daily with an open food and exercise diary :) Always welcome new motivational pals! x
  • I go through a kilogram of Meridian Natural Peanut Butter (literally just blended peanuts, nothing else added) every month! I put whatever I'm spreading it on, on the scales then zero and measure it that way. Or if dunking apple or banana in it, I weight out a set amount onto a plate or bowl first. It's great for hitting…
  • For me, it was a case of being so desperately unhappy with how I looked, and I thought to myself "I wonder what would happen to my body if I went to the gym 3 times every week" So I did that, and after only 2 weeks I started seeing the changes and I got a buzz. So I kept going, and going, and going. I got hooked. 2 years…
  • I'm 5'9" and currently 66kg (145.5 lbs) down from 72kg (159 lbs). At my heaviest a couple years ago I was around 80kg (176lbs) and I have managed to lose, regain a bit and lose again! My goal is now to shred the body fat and tone up, and I'm doing pretty well so far. I log food and exercise daily with an open diary. Always…
  • Yup! Usually cook up my lunches and have them refrigerated in tuppaware so I know I don't have to worry about being caught on the go and having to settle for prepackaged rubbish. Can get some looks from other students when I crack open the chicken/rice/brocolli tuppaware but I'd rather smell that than the grease of a Maccy…
  • Orange juice and green tea every morning with my breakfast. Used to be hooked on 'normal' tea but have managed to switch to Green tea and sometimes peppermint tea.
  • There definitely do seem to be quite a range of alternatives and replacements; just some of them taste absolutely rotten! x
  • I'd be really interested in any responses to this as just recently (last 2-3 weeks) my doctor has suggested I go lactose-free due to severe IBS, and I am now testing out a wheat and/or gluten free diet as I have constant stomach and gut problems. It's difficult when everyone tells you to eat oats, cheese and yoghurt! x
  • We don't turn the heaters on in the flat; so definitely not me! ;) x
  • Yup, another Scot here! x
  • I love it! But only when cooked with part milk, part water and a banana. If I don't have a banana then it's a really tough eat! Peanut butter or brown sugar also go well.
  • Welcome along! I always find these forums so supportive and helpful, it really is motivating to have plenty other people all aiming for the same goal. Laura x
  • I'm 5' 11", started weight loss journey 2 years ago. Have lost 8-10kg, looking to lose another 3-4kg. I am concerned with dropping body fat and toning up. I log daily, am active on the homepage and my food and exercise diaries are open, I welcome any friend requests! x
  • I started spinning once a week about 4 weeks ago and oh my god the pain is incredible haha! It settles down quickly now, but after the first class I was walking like John Wayne for days!
