  • Do you keep a food diary on MFP? What's your daily carb intake? Which foods are you getting your carbs from?
  • The Whole 30 Challenge is a strict 30-day "diet" based on the Paleo food plan. I recently completed a 7-week Whole 30 program. More info on the Whole 30 can be found at these links: Whole 30 Program: http://whole9life.com/2012/08/the-whole30-program/ Quick Start Guide: http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Quick-Start-Guide.pdf…
  • What do you have your calories set at?
  • I bought a jar last week and tried it for the first time. It's very addicting so much that I may dispose of it.
  • With a reduced carb intake and the anxious or nervousness you're getting, you may have developed a case of hypoglycemia. This is defined as having a low amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. Symptoms include: shakiness, light-headed, dizziness, & a fast heart rate to name a few. As a diabetic, I know of hypoglycemia…
  • Guild Wars 2 ruined MMOs for me. I was a huge Guild Wars 1 player. I got the GWAMM title even after being away from the game for 3 years. I seriously looked forward to Guild Wars 2. When the game came out last August, I was hooked. Then after only a month of playing, my disinterest due to the game's mechanics and lack of…
  • Pasta Slim is low-carb made of tofu and takes on the taste of the sauce. It does have a slight sulfur smell out of the package and must be prepped in order to remove it. Miracle Noodles are zero carb are made of water & glucomannan (dietary fiber). These have a strong sulfur smell and again, must be prepped in order to…
  • I eat clean and follow the Paleo food plan. To replace electrolytes lost during my workouts, I use Elete drops in my water bottle. It has a slight salty taste and makes the water a little "heavy." But if the water is ice cold, then it is barely noticeable. http://www.eletewater.com/
  • Borderlands 1 & 2 Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas Resident Evil 6 Rainbow Six Vegas & Vegas 2 A used copy of Borderlands 2 may still run in the $30s + though
  • Even when using water, sometimes my HRM won't give a proper reading. So I bought Spectra Electrode Gel conductor between the strap and the skin. I'll still lightly wet the skin beneath where the strap goes. Since I've been using the gel, I no longer have problems with incorrect readings. Google: Spectra 360 Electrode Gel
  • I live in Bremerton. Feel free to add me :)
  • I'm insulin dependent (since 1990) and have lost about 45 pounds since last August. I've also reduced my daily fast-acting insulin intake by nearly 90% and my long lasting by 50%. I first did it by changing the way I eat. I began eating Paleo by cutting out the high carb foods that plagued my blood sugars for years: wheat,…
  • I was introduced to Asteroids in 1979 and I've been a gamer since. Even though it was such a simple game, I admired the way the asteroids blew up into chunks. Yeah, I know it sounds pathetic given the graphics of games now but I was hooked after that. Other early games I loved were Missile Command, Defender, Tempest, and…
  • This has been my routine for about a couple weeks and I usually rest on Sundays. I workout in the morning & afternoon: Week # 1 -- 06/03 - 06/09 --> 791 minutes and 3736 calories burned Week # 2 -- 06/10 - 06/16 Week # 3 -- 06/17 - 06/23 Week # 4 -- 06/24 - 06/30
  • I did the same thing. I created the DDP exercises so they remain in my database. Ditto on theheart rate monitor. But I wouldn't buy the Pyle HRM DDP sells. I hate it. It reads my heart rate about 75% of the time even with using a gel. So frustrating.
  • I'm continuing with the max plus I do 30 push-ups in between each type. My stomach did shrink :)
  • Sorry to hear about your hospitalization. Praying for you :)
  • Ok here's my take because I do eat Paleo. This bread is not Paleo-friendly. Reasons: - 1/3 cup (40g) Vital Wheat Gluten - 1 cup (115g) Shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/4 cup (40g) Butter - 1/4 cup Heavy Cream or Milk and 1/4 cup Water (1/2 Cup Mixture) Yes, while dairy is acceptable for "Primal" eaters, Paleo eaters will avoid…
  • Cassettes for me as well: New Edition & Tears for Fears (80s)
  • I had to look on youtube to see what a flutter kick is. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it tomorrow.
  • I find myself taking a break with the leg raises but still following through. I've been doing one-legged planks due to recent toe surgery on my right foot.
  • I was using the regular chia seeds but didn't like them gelling in my morning juice. So now I use Organic Traditions Sprouted Chia Seed Powder.
  • Very inspirational, congrats to your determination and hard work!
  • You're welcome. I use DDP Yoga which combines strength and cardio. I'm sure you'll research what's best for you. Good luck, I'll pray for you :) BTW, I'm an insulin dependent diabetic with limited mobility due to an accident to my feet.
  • Curious, have you considered yoga?
  • I would say to stop weighing yourself and concentrate on what what you're doing to stay healthy. I was in your position weighing myself weekly and also became discouraged. So I stopped with the scale. I also stopped thinking about it and weigh myself only once a month now but continue to eat healthy and exercise.
  • I've been following the intermediate guide and recently began the 4-day per week routine. I've noticed that it starts out light with using just Red Hot Core on a particular day. But I always add Red Hot Core at the end of each workout. On days like that, I'll add Fat Burner first.
  • I'm on my 6th week of DDP Yoga (intermediate level). I like it because it's low impact that combines yoga moves with strength training (without weights) and cardio. I recommend it: http://www.ddpyoga.com/site/index.php/en/
