Hi! Remember that it's a marathon not a sprint. Log one day at a time, do your best and you will see results. Keep those exercise levels up and burn those calories!!!!!! Measure your waist, neck, thighs etc.. as some weeks you will lose inches not actual weight, it's sometimes a better indicator to progress. You're allowed…

Why not just make yourself cheese on toast and not pay Dominoes your hard earned money? :drinker:

Hi, After Christmas last year, i gave up booze for January and I joined this site the same time. (Best thing i ever did) :drinker: I lost 8lbs in my first 3 weeks, and i do believe it's all alcohol as i hadn't really kicked my healthy eating plan into effect. They're unfortunately just liquid calories, nothing more! But i…

Hi, It's like anything, if he doesn't want to do it then he won't! You have to WANT to quit smoking . It's tough, i smoked for 7 years, and now proud to say i've given up for 866 days and counting! I started by not smoking all the cigarette, then moved down to rolling my own. I was so useless at it (!!!) it took…

If i know i've got a calorific event in the near future, i do "bank" spare calories in the days before, and also make sure i try to exercise and burn off 700/800 cals on the day so that i feel better not worrying about what i'm consuming. Obviously, try and keep things in moderation, but a one-off splurge isn't going to be…

Have you only been doing this for a week? It takes time, don't worr if you don't see results straight away. Also, on looking at your diary, your carbs and sodium levels are exceeded quite often. You'll need to look at these and make a few adjustments. Also, where is your exercise? But don't give up, it is a marathon not a…

It's not good to torture yourself !!!! Try and compromise by having a small bag of crisps, or boil up some small baby new potatoes and snack on them the following day? I know it's tough, but with enough exercise i get to incorporate eating pretty much whatever i like. It's all about control though, so keep that focus, and…

If i'm having a few drinks, i try to burn at least 800 calories through exercise beforehand, so i know i'm not worrying about measures etc... I gave up drinking for January and lost loads of weight!!! Unfortunately alcohol is just calorie-laden and no nutritional benefits, which is a real shame as i love a drink! Good luck…

Sorry to hear about your loss, but at least your uncle is at peace now. According to your ticker you've lost 57lb? That's amazing!!!!!!! We all need comfort food at times, and 1 outing to McD's isn't going to harm you- other than being nutritionally void (!!) So by all means get back to healthy eating, but don't…

Errrr, are you serious?! Go to bed earlier and get an alarm clock?! On a serious note though, you need to have the mindset and the willpower to want to do it though, otherwise it just won't happen. Good luck on your journey :drinker:
