  • OK, I'm done! Finished stage 1. You can read all about it on my blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/cirka2002/view/finished-stage-1-263160 But here it is in a nutshell: Workout A Squats - BW > 100lbs (my goal was 100! YAY!) Push Ups - almost waist high boxing ring > knee high bench (These sucked and I didn't progress as…

  • I have a home scale that I use. It usually reads lower than any online calculator that I've used. I figure that as long as you continue to use the same thing to measure each time, you can set your goals accordingly. For example: My scale reads 27%...so my goal is 20% online I come up with 31%...so my goal is 24%
  • WOW That sure is a lot of stress!! And for those interested, I just posted my weights from my first two weeks on my blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/cirka2002/view/nrol4w-stage-1-progress-242159

  • Good morning! I did workout 2B yesterday and I am really looking forward to increasing my weight next week and trying something harder! I did push myself and went up to 15lb-DB on the shoulder press. But my shoulders were achy from Wed kickboxing class, so I had to go down to 10lbs on my version of the pull down (don't…

  • Looking for some suggestions.... I'm starting 2A tomorrow and would like to add some weight to my squats. I'm not able to use an oly bar because we don't have a rack that will hold it to the necessary height for me to get it up on my shoulders. SO what else can I use? I have access to medicine balls and kettle bells. WHich…

  • :-) I'm 5'10 & 165lbs, but I just started lifting this week....so no toned pics to share....YET!
  • Thanks for the tip on the jackknife, I'll be sure to try that next time. And I'll ask too about the rack. Plus, I just heard they will be adding some new classes to the gym, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for more equipment.

  • OK, did my first workout yesterday. I have a few questions if anyone can help.... My gym is a little limited in the equipment area. They don't have a squat rack tall enough for me to get under. Any ideas on how else to get the bar up to my shoulders? Medicine balls? Do you think they will work for things like squats and…

  • I would love to find a HRM that I can wear on my upper arm during a class just to see what I burn.
  • I'd love to hear one too! I have a 9yo that lies about brushing her teeth.
  • Our first two days of home school went well. We just need to work on routines and figuring out what gets logged where, LOL!! I'm having fun and I think she thinks it's fine. But I just read MrsJones' post... It's next week I dread, when all the fun of "new" has worn off! AGGGGGGGG!! I never even thought of that!!!
  • I do. I trained in Gracie Barra BJJ for about 8 months last year until my instructor moved. I would still be doing it if I had an instructor.

  • I have to many to list! LOL!! I guess it all depends on what I'm making.
  • Western Colorado
  • She did take a few months of BJJ, but didn't really care for it much. We'll see how long judo lasts. She's only been at it a few weeks.
  • I'm 5'10" with a small frame. Currently at 155, which is fine for me...but I really want to loose a bit of BF%. I want to easily wear a size 10 jeans...right now they are snug in the hip/thigh area. A size 8 would be AMAZING!
  • Now I'm just the opposite! I'm 5'10" with a SMALL frame! I always feel weird with these tiny wrists, neck and ankles and being so tall. Any idea how to adjust the BMI for a small frame? I can't seem to find it.
  • HI! I'm Jennifer, 37, from Colorado. We JUST made the decision to homeschool our daughter, almost 9. She seems to have gotten lost in school this year and I'm not happy with how it is going, so we will be pulling her out at the end of the semester and homeschooling starting in January. I'm lucky to have an excellent…
