• Lately I've been really liking some coffee and instead of my normal "Caramel syrup" I add some almond milk and splenda.
• THANK YOU for sharing this. Like you, I have alot of weight to lose - I started ou a little lighter than you, but not by much. I'm also a couple of inches shorter. I know that if I really focus and make my health a priority, I could be sharing this same stoy in a year or s but I've slacked and not made it a high enough…
• I just put this on another thread as well: Because I eat 15 oz of grapes (about 300 calories each) for both a morning AND afternoon snack, I often go over my sugar AND calories for the day. I try to look at it as quality vs. quantity - Yes...It's still 600 calories from "snacks" but I believe that 600 calories of grapes is…

• Thanks for posting this. I've seen it before and it reminds me of GOOD things every time. I am one of the heavy girls that hates (HATES HATES HATES) working out in front of other people because I totally think they are judging me. When I had a gym membership I stopped going because I was the only fat person there - What I…
• I've also attempted to make pulp crackers from the pulp but I have not been successful - My oven doesn't go down in temp low enough and I don't have a dehydrator...yet. :)
• Here's what my go-to juice looks like: 5 cups spinach 1 cup kale 3 carrots 2 cucumber 2 (or 1) apple 1 lemon The cucumber taste is prevelent so if you don't like cucumber you won't like the juice. I found it helps cut the "grass" flavor of the spinach and kale. A couple of people I know have the same type of juice but also…
• FOR ME, I take a multi vitamin. I also take a Vitamin D supplement because I have had bloodwork showing my Vitamin D is low - That and now I live in Seattle and we're about to not see the sun for a while. :) Other than that, I take my normal allgery pill and a wheatgrass supplement. I would definitely talk to your doctor,…
•
I love the paninis to! make a quick salad on the side! I want to eat clean, college is just not the time for me personally to do it. When I don't have to be doing something from 7am - 12am even on weekends, will be more time for me to actually say okay let's cut out the processed stuff
Hahah! I get it. I…
• I just happened across this thread - I AM a "clean"-er eater, BUT, I am not "holier than thou" with it. I have nothing against processed foods, I've lost more weight eating processed foods than I have since recently changing to a "cleaner" diet. JUST because I eat clean doesn't mean I get to eat as much as I want. I…
• This is what I do - As long as your meal is semi-healthy and you don't go overboard on weekends, you should lose weight. I juice for breakfast and lunch, eat grapes for a morning snack, pretzels or veggie straws for an afternoon snack, and then eat a healthy dinner. UNFORTUNATLEY, I've been slacking lately and have been…

• I didn’t start out caring about clean eating. I just cared about calories and Weight Watchers points. I lost almost 50 pounds not caring about clean eating – I gained some back and now I’m trying to lose again. I’m not saying you HAVE to eat clean to lose weight, but for me, it was a personal choice. I figured all of the…
• Yay! I'm hoping this group is a little more active than the other clean eating groups I've joined in the past. I'm newish to clean eating and not at 100% - I don't buy everything farm fed or organic, but we're doing about 10x better than we used to. I'll admit though, I still some me some processed foods but am trying to…
• Way to go!!! I think I'm still a bit too heavy to start training for a 5k, but I'll get there! :)
• I'm real big into the "eating clean" thing right now, but the weight I've lost so far? Not clean. Not organic. Meats and potatoes even. FOR ME, I choose to eat clean(er) because of all the added chemicals and such - No...I don't think it causes autism. No...I'm not a snob. No...I don't buy everything organic (produce here…
• When I originally started with the juicing, my main reason for doing it was to eat some veggies and help with my stuggle to eat breakfast. My very first day the juice was rather large but very filling so I decided to do breakfast and lunch - My typical snack is grapes mid-morning and some veggie straws (chips)…
• These are my go-to sites: http://fullyraw.com/ (http://www.youtube.com/fullyrawkristina) http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/ http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/ The FullyRaw site is a BIT too extreme for me – I don’t think I could maintain that lifestyle and don’t think it’s too healthy to eat THAT much fruit, BUT, her YouTube…
• THANK YOU for this. I'm not quite ready to run because I'd do some permanent damage to my knees, I'm sure, but it's great to know that even if I'm slow, I can still "run". Thank you for the definition and encouraging a hopeful future-runner.
• I guess my question is about the amount of juice - Is that enough? 45-50 oz of juice doesn't seem like a lot. Last I knew, you were supposed to drink like 20 oz five times a day or something like that. I drink 12 oz for breakfast, 12 oz for lunch, but I eat - I typically eat grapes for a snack, veggie straws for an…
• I thought I read something that the fibit is pretty water resistant, but I'm hoping someone will be able to offer some insight! :)
• We have the Omega8006 - Expensive but works GREAT.
• Ahhhhhhhh. The big problem is that's why I didn't eat the "healthier" option either - It was about the size of a Little Debbie and although it had a bit more fiber and protein, it just didn't look very filling. :)
• I have never tried avocados - I want to, but then I looked up the calories on them and decided against that too. :) If I KNEW this granola bar thing would have filled me up, I would have been okay with it. But I had doubts it would.
• And that is exactly what i"ve gotten out of this post - I enjoyed seeing other peoples opinions. I realized that I may have focused a BIT too much on the calorie number, but tis' what works for me.
• Yep - Subwya is the only "Fast Food" we eat now, but considering we both eat a foot long, it's HARDLY "healthy". It's about double what my normal dinner is. Needless to say, they are only on days when I have forgotten to eat. :)
• It's not that a snack needs to be a certain number of calories, but when I only get 1700 of them for the day, 400+ for a snack (that likely won't fill me up) doesn't seem like a good option. As stated in my correction, it might be "healthy" but it's a little high in calories for a snack.
• That's the way that I feel, even if I didn't put it quite as bluntly. :)
• I DEFINITELY appreciate the feedback - Both that agree with me AND that disagree. For ME, I may pay attention to calories a little TOO much, but it's also what works best for me. Thanks so much!
• But there are good fats and bad fats, correct? Fat in fish I'm assuming is good, fat in a Little Debbie, bad? :)
