Yeah I don't post MFP stuff on FB - my MFP friends are here for the same reason I am. They're the support I need on this journey. My close friends and family know why I'm dieting and support me 100%. I spend more at the grocery store, but less overall because we've cut out fast food and restaurants. You can only stockpile so many fruits and veggies when they go on sale--so I go every week now.

I think it's important to treat youself or "splurge" in order to make it less about torturing yourself. Grab that cookie, but write it down. If you don't write the treats or the splurges and be honest with yourself, then it's very easy to get back into the old habits.

I think the whole purpose of this is to have fun and bring another level to awareness. It's making a statement while getting others involved one way or the other. I was the same way--since I've started accounting for my actions (tracking food and exercise) I actually feel guilty when I "fall off the wagon". When you see those first few pounds disappear--you'll feel the same way! Feel free to add me as a friend--good luck, we're all here for the same reason :)

I can't get enough hot wings and mozarella cheese sticks, but bread is truly my weakness--I will eat a basket of texas toast from zaxby's and still want more.... great now my mouth is watering!! wonder if they make texas toast flavored yogurt?! well today I will settle for banana creme yogurt, but someone should invent it!

I think I have the same question. I've taken my calories down to 1200, but haven't started exercising yet. Do I need to eat the calories that I burn in order to maintain the 1200 minimum? Will I still lose weight?

friend request sent--I have to lose 50 lbs before I can start fertility treatments. overall I would like to lose 110 lbs. good luck--this seems to be a very supportive group.
