^This is very important! ;) Since I run in our neighborhood, the only excuse I have not to run is when it's raining! I live in a suburban area with bike lanes, so it's really convenient to run in. I can choose which path to take depending on the incline I decide to tackle, from flat to really challenging incline. I turn…

Graduated on Oct. 10. :) Will work first on getting a full 5k in 30 mins then I'll probably work towards 10k.. but first I'll have to deal with the though that I will have to get up at 430am on weekdays for the 10k program.

Congratulations!!!! I recently just finished c25k, too. I know how it must feel! I actually had to redo the last day, it was so hard on my first try, completed on the second try. Sorry to be laughing at your demise, but the thing with the kids is just hilarious!!!!

I run with music on but prefer the quiet during my warmups and cooldowns. I would prefer running without music but I feel that it helps motivate me during the run. I have a curated playlist with only 120+ BPM songs. I have read in an article (I should have bookmarked it!) that music is proven to help set the running pace.…

This thread is more of an affirmation for me to keep pushing even if running doesn't get easier - but because we keep challenging ourselves to run longer, faster and better. :) I am still in awe at the though that I can run 28 mins straight when a 1 minute run felt like hell before. Running has made me realize that even if…

I'm only almost done with the c25k - currently on w8, I suggest redo until you complete the session as required. During the earlier weeks in the program (around W1-3) I kept redoing and redoing until I completed the session.

There will be days when you can't run the full requirement of the session. I suggest to not move a week back. Just keep repeating until you actually complete the session, then you move on to the next day. During the first weeks of the c25k I kept repeating some weeks because I felt that I wasn't ready to progress. But what…

You're not alone with that. :)) When I don't feel like going for a run even if I have to, I keep reminding myself of that feeling while your out running or just after your run.
-
W5D3 completed!! That alone feels like an achievement! :))
-
W4D3 completed. After mapping out all my remaining weeks until my goal of finally completing in October has helped motivate me. Fingers crossed to injury free runs!

Reading and movies.. Lame, I know. Haha! Have you ever dated somebody of a different race?

Gizmo is adorable! and lucky to have you, I'm sure. :D

I don't drive. Commuting is big on my side of the world. :) But if my Mom bought me a nice car then that would be a different story.... Which do you prefer, iOS or Android?

W4D2 down! My shins started to ache but I've been delayed with the program for so long. I'm already nervous about moving on to W5 but it's always been like this for me moving on to the next week.. then when you're actually running you realize that you just have to keep putting that foot in front of the other.. until you've…

" More often than not, the run isn't fabulous, but those that love to run use that as motivation to pursue the "excellent" run NEXT time we lace up!" I'm a new runner so it's good to know that early on. I'll keep my expectations in check and not be disillusioned. I always, always have some new ache and pain almost with…

Hello everyone! I started c25k sometime end of March this year. Now, I'm only on W4. I had to stop several times due to minor injuries and yes it took me that long to figure out how to deal with one very persistent injury. But hopefully, all the "birthing pains" are now over. Not that I expect it to be easy all the way. My…

But since I will never grow longer legs and have the same body type as her.. This is my realistic goal..

Nike Running app on my phone for tracking since I'm on the c210K program. Headband to keep the sweat off my face (and keep my earphones in my ears when I decide to run listening to music)

W4D1 down! I ran at 5am, now I'm at work and I'm tired!

I find them attractive. I have one myself which I got out of whim. I knew what I wanted I just didn't have time to pick a good design. It was only after getting it when I started to research more. Haha! I might decided to have it covered up someday, or maybe not.

Champagne brunch or sunset coffee. =D

Finally completed W3! It took me 3 months to get here since starting the c25k. =( I encountered all sorts of leg pains and has to stop a few times for weeks to allow my minor injuries to heal and figure out how to help them heal, I just hope my body has adjusted to getting some excercise now. Now for my next - and…

Hi All! I just want to give you an update. Stretching was all it took! The discomfort is still there, but I can hardly feel it. Hopefully it'll soon be completely gone. I incorporated the IT Band Stretches to the regular pre-run stretches right before my run and it made all the difference. Whereas before the IT Band…

Thanks for all the replies! I do stretch - a 6 min. yoga stretch for runners I found online plus several post-run stretches. I also do a 10-min warm-up instead of the suggested 5 after a few pre-run stretches (because I found that I get shin splints without pre-run stretches.) @Run_Forever - I stopped with Week 3, and…

Happy I almost got that right! Interesting! =D
