I have the same concerns about protein. I have decided that when I start my juice fast I am going to be adding protein powder into my juices. We need protein on a daily basis--not only for muscle *building*, but also for daily cell functions. Also, (and go ahead call me crazy), I am going to be adding some fat into my…

Hiya, tbrey0! I too just recently the documentary and am totally pumped over it. I'm still shopping for which juicer to buy. I have started drinking smoothies a lot this last week and find they really hit the spot as a healthy meal replacer. I feel so much better after having a smoothie for lunch at work as opposed to…

dude, you are a ROCKSTAR! I'm SO proud of you! And what's even better is that you can carry the pride you have in completing it so well for the rest of your life. You've earned the right to have a big head. GOOD JOB!

Hi there! I had surgery a few months ago. You need to remember that your body is in repair mode after surgery. You will need protein for repairs. eat clean!! Drink plenty of water!!! Listen to your body!! You'll be fine :)

Just like Michael, I too lost weight during my time off! I just can't see the doc recommending running. Tried it---did NOT work for me! I had a month off, as I regularly do lifting up to 40 lbs at my job === vacay! Oh, and yeah, I had the patch put in. I'm really pleased with how it all turned out. Very happy I had it…

I had hernia repair surgery 6 months ago. I'm a 50 y/o female. I had just started exercising one month previous to surgery (whereas you are already very active and athletic). My experience prompts me to tell you these things: You doc is right--no core exercises for 5 weeks! I never felt the urge to "push" that envelope and…

I think you're AWESOME for signing up a Mudder! Stop talking about being crazy for doing it--start talking about how you're going to DO it! Because you are, one way or another, you're going to train for it, you're going to get through it with help from others, and you're going to help others, and when it's all done you're…

Don't worry about "being ready"...you can walk the whole thing if you want to! It's all about getting outside and having fun. I think you should do it! Got any friends who'll go with you?
-
Yay! Yes, it will be more "fun" than "tough". If you're anything like me, you need to 'fun' before we can get into the 'tough' part. Next year we'll be TOUGH!
