You need to hit 42g of protein a day. Legumes, soymilk, and whole wheat pastas will easily get you there.

Yeah, when I was 115 lbs I looked just right. Everything curved out nicely and my "lines" flowed well. It's considered underweight though. I didn't have bones sticking out or anything like that. I didn't wear a 0 or anything. But it just feels weird because it's supposed to be underweight. I do exercise a lot more than I…

See, this is what I want to achieve, but I can't fit into an A cup so I'm not even sure that's physically possible for my body.
-
I'd love to compare myself to my own body, see where I used to be, but because of a lot of issues I hardly have any photos at all. I'd love to be back in my old body, my old weight, but I don't know what that looks like.

Just as an update, the past few days my calories in have been super low according to my stats. This is the first time I've been digging for a spoonful of peanut butter just to grab a few calories so I don't look like I'm starving myself. Should I be worried?
-
He says it's because my body has adjusted to this amount of exercise over time, since I'm no longer overweight, and that it is impossible to continue losing weight now because my body is too efficient.
-
What if I'm not overweight? I hover near 130lbs right now, but my body still doesn't look quite right, so I'm going to try and drop another 10 lbs. I've always looked most normal when I was 115-120 lbs. I have a fairly small frame I think, and I've never had a chest. I struggle to fit into an A cup for Pete's sake. But as…

Yes, but on a normal day I am very sedentary, sometimes not even hitting 2k steps. So technically, yes, it was all walking. I've read that you should take a good quarter off of that though. Not that I eat back my calories or anything.
-
How do I fix my Fitbit then? On a normal day, I'll get around 2k steps. I have to make an effort to hit my 5k a day goal, and even then I don't always meet it. He's a nurse friend of mine, so he thinks he knows everything and won't let you tell him otherwise.

I'm not really a calorie eater-backer, and some days I gotta make sure I hit 1200 because I got too into work and forgot to eat, but it's those other days where sometimes I'll just snack with my boyfriend all day and I'll easily eat like 1700-1800 calories, and being so sedentary most days really screws me up.

I don't like it because I'm an artist and I study anatomy all the time. Mine isn't correct. I have a very small chest, and my stomach sticks out so much farther than my chest does. It looks horribly awkward and out of kilter. I lost all my weight walking though because I have undeveloped lungs due to a birth defect. I had…

I'm wondering this as well. I have a Fitbit and I keep everything set to sedentary because I usually spend the day in my small apartment playing games or cleaning. But now I do a lot more grocery shopping, and I walk to 3 different stores all the time. Just today I walked over 14k steps, over 6 miles, and according to my…

There's nothing wrong with carbs. Pasta is full of protein and fibre, and it's cheap to boot. A pack of organic whole wheat spaghetti with flax and a jar of organic arrabiata sauce is the same cost per serving as ramen. Once a week, buy one of the small bags of chips. Around my house, if we get a craving, we just go for…

Daiya cream cheese or tahini lemon sauce. :3

Depends. If I go the savoury route, I like to cook it in vegetable broth with split red lentils, then top it with salsa and avocado and lots of lime juice and hot sauce. :3 For sweet, soy milk, ground flax, mashed banana, protein powder, and flaked coconut! <3

Bean burrito, hold the dairy. <3 Oh Taco Bell <3

That's awesome!!!! There's nothing wrong with carbs unless you're diabetic. A lot of people I've seen recently worry too much about their macros (and in the wrong way) and not enough about vital nutrients that the rest of the country is deficient in. Think about it this way: you're meant to eat 25g of fibre a day. (Which,…

No, not really. The only thing I'd suggest taking out would be the pecans because of the replacement with ground (make sure it's ground) flax seeds. Though honestly I find eggs to be disgusting so I would replace those with the PB2 because it would add the protein back in but bring fibre with it instead. Or you could just…
-
You need fibre to bulk it up, not more macros. I recommend replacing the pecan chips with ground flax seed, same ratio. You get 4x the fibre of the pecans and more omegas in the fat. (It's also still 5g of fat.) Add in some oats to help bulk it and/or a banana. PB2 is also great at adding protein and fibre without the fat,…

I stay away from those sugar-free drinks. Give me headaches.

1. 10k steps a day 2. Fibre, fibre, fibre 3. Water, water, water 4. Coffee makes a pretty darn good laxative.
-
It's just more bullhonkey, another version of going gluten-free even though you don't have sensitivities or Celiac disease. Paleo in itself is another can of worms altogether.

1. There is nothing wrong with carbs. Cutting carbs isn't the answer. 2. Yes, there are plenty. 3. You will never kick the craving for all bad foods. Sorry. 4. Losing weight? Sure! Eat less, move more. Congrats! 5. Fibre. Track it religiously, get all you can get.
-
If you're going to ignore pretty much everything on the site, at least log one thing: fibre. 96% of Americans are deficient. Making sure you hit your daily rec for fibre every single day is such a deviation from the SAD (Standard American Diet) that it can really open your eyes.
-
You don't gain weight because you're too "high carb." You gain weight because you eat too much and move too little. The most important thing to work on is hitting your daily fibre goals. Starting with consistently hitting your fibre goals with foods that you love will usually cut your calorie consumption simply because…

The average person should aim for 42g of protein. Active women, 52g, and active men, 62g. How much fibre are you getting every day? That could be why you're so hungry.
