  • I would like to join also.
  • I did a one night backpack in the Superstitions over Saturday night. I am the one in the pink shirt and purple hat. It was beautiful weather and the desert is very green this year. I added a photo of my new puppy, Otis, who is a five month old Cocker Spaniel. He is not a hiking buddy, just a walking buddy.
  • I'm in Arizona. Heading into the Superstitions this weekend for an overnight.
  • Congratulations What a great accomplishment.

  • I'm in. I'm 5'5" 140 and I want to get down to 125. I am doing WW and am 63 and fairly active with hiking and hope to lose a pound a week. 125 will be the lowest I have been in probably forever, so I'll see how it goes. I plan to set my WW goal higher so I can hit Lifetime and not pay for the meetings.
  • I'm in. The last challenge I was on ended yesterday, so this is perfect. • @kamamakai We don't seem to be a very active group. I live in Arizona and have been hiking for the past 10 years I guess. I also love being out on the trail. The hiking I've done in California is in Sequoia NP and Yosemite NP and a short bit of the John Muir trail which I backpacked with a friend. I get out close to home…
  • Great post. I didn't get into hiking/backpacking until I was in my 50's. Wish I had done it sooner. Love the beautiful scenery and doing longer and more strenuous hikes.
  • Continued hiking in Arizona. The Superstitions are my favorite for nearby hikes.
  • I've only had mine for a couple of weeks, but have used it twice for zucchini/summer squash noodle. My husband likes them fine too, so I think we'll keep using it. After draining in a colander I pat them with paper towels to remove a little more of the liquid.
  • Fabulous job. You look amazing and must feel it too.
  • Yesterday three good friends and I hiked Flatiron in the Superstitions just east of Phoenix. It's one of our favorite day hikes. More of a scramble than a hike in some areas.
  • Photos from my backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon 11/13 thru 11/16.
  • I've been mixing 1 T balsamic fig reduction with 1 T avocado oil and it's enough for two salads. We've been having spinach salad with some strawberries and blue berries and a little bit of feta and walnuts on top. Delicious!
  • I just purchased the Vitamix at Costco a couple of weeks ago. The one I purchased is the 5300, not the high priced 7500. It was pricey but my cousin says she has had hers for 15 years and it's still going strong. I had one smoothie with my old blender which was not smooth. Now I put in frozen berries, frozen banana and a…
  • You look amazing. Congratulations!
  • I retired at 58 about 4 1/2 years ago. I was burned out at work and figured I may not be able to do as much hiking if I waited to 65. Hiking and backpacking are a fairly inexpensive hobby, so that works too.
  • You look fabulous. You should be over the top proud of yourself, I am and I don't even know you.

  • I read a story on Yahoo this morning that was so inspiring. The gal also has a blog which I bookmarked. It's called Blossoming Vilma. She lost over 100 pounds and also used My Fitness Pal. I haven't read all of her blog yet, but I think it would be motivating for anyone.
  • I'm in. Tried this once before and didn't get beyond 2 minutes if that, but heck that's way better than 0.
  • We've been without a dog just over a year, but will be getting a new pup on December 2nd. We've waited since we had some travels this year. I'll try to post a photo.
  • I'm here and checking in intermittently. I hike frequently but most often near home in Scottsdale. In 10 days I'll be doing an easy Grand Canyon backpack with a friend. I've backpacked the Grand Canyon 4 or 5 times before, always beautiful. Trying to stay in backpacking shape over the winter and then hike some of the John…

  • I have been making dressing with 1 T avocado oil and 1T fig balsamic reduction. It is enough for the 2 of us. I put it on baby spinach that has some strawberries and a few blue berries in it. On top just a couple chopped walnuts and a tiny bit of feta. Very delicious and nutritious!
  • Great job! It's hard being at those altitude. I didn't look to see where you live, but if you're in Washington they have the Mountaineers with great climbing courses.
  • I hike and do some backpacking pretty regularly. I did a backpack rim to rim to rim of the Grand Canyon in early May, four days on the John Muir Trail at the end of July and I'm leaving on Tuesday to head to Spain to walk/hike the Camino Frances across Spain. I do lots of day hiking during Fall, Winter and Spring, but I…
  • Wow, you look terrific. What a beautiful figure and wonderful how you're enjoying your new slim life.
  • Super job. You look amazing.
