Bless you :p

@usmcmp thank you so much for this! I have been looking for recomp info, as I'm preparing to transition to maintenance and focus on recomp at that point. You break things down so simply, cutting away all the fluff that really comes down to personal preference, and it really clears up so much confusion. Thank you thank you…

Steadily losing inches and pounds, eating candy and bacon and delicious things as I go. I love IIFYM hard.

Just going to leave this here, and while it specifies "stomach", it applies to everything when you are wanting to drop body fat. As others have said, cardio is not required.

19%! Goal is 29%, seeing these numbers is pretty dang motivating!

Thanks guys! I'm lame and abandoned this thread after posting, but I'm glad to see I wasn't off on my suspicions. I'm now at 1680 cals, 140 p/140c/63f. I am struggling to hit that protein mark, but that's nothing new.

There's lots of vegans and vegetarians on here, and several groups! Many gather here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/45-happy-herbivores

I have some, and have used it as I would other pasta, mixed with a sauce of choice, veggies, whatever. My family cringes at the color, but it really just has a slightly nutty flavor thanks to the beans. Do make sure you cook it long enough, it gets gummy. It's not my FAVORITE, but it's a good, reasonably quick source of…

My NSV comes from my first ever session with a trainer last night (thank you dad!), which was 30 minutes of the hardest work I've done in a long time. The 30 mins flew by, it was FUN even though she pushed me hard, and I'm excited for next week. I never, ever thought I'd have a trainer, or be excited about having someone…

Priceless!!

Here's the group - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/13462-iifym and your main goal is to hit the macros. When the macros are perfectly hit, your calories will be in line as well. There's a learning curve, so give yourself grace, but aim for hitting those macros.

Agreed with above - the purpose is to get more protein, and they serve that purpose. I feel full for around 2 hours after just the powder and water, but I've bulked up my shakes to create a meal replacement, which then lasts a good 3 hours or so until my next meal. Your body loves protein, so regardless of whether it's a…

The Spartan Sprint, 2 years ago, after absolutely no training or regular exercise of any kind for the year prior. 4.5 hours of pure Hell and the hardest thing I've ever done.

*raises hand* sufferer here, currently struggling. I do get outside every morning, because we sold my car and I walk to the bus. Being in the Pacific NW doesn't help, and now that to and from work end up mostly dark, I'm making it a point to get outside on my work breaks to get some natural light. I have a lamp on my desk,…

As in...climbing!? Summit!? I already found you inspiring...way to go!!!

Whoops! we must have posted at the same time. Tofu and edamame aren't dairy, and generally are a go-to for the vegans that I know, provided there's no soy allergies. My comment above was intended for another poster, I will edit

I'd maybe see about adding in a protein supplement. TrueNutrition.com is one that I buy from, and they have a selection of vegan proteins that should help. The darker greens also have protein, maybe do a little Googling on which vegetables have what you're looking for. Oh! PB2 is a delicious source of protein, and low fat…

I am finally starting to be consistent, and I'm excited to start seeing changes in my body from it. GO YOU!! Lifting is awesome, and I think everyone should do it. It will keep you healthy well into old age, and keeps bones strong, among other things. While I haven't seen changes in my body yet due to my inconsistency, I…

If you remove everything after "limited-time-specials.html" the link will work.

Awesome, thank you!

Possibly a stupid question: Do you scramble the cottage cheese as the eggs are cooking, or add it afterward to your eggs?

Happy California cow, or bull. Can't tell how big the horns are...

I progressed from a single, struggling set of 12 reps at 160 lbs on the leg press, to 2 full sets, only struggling on the last 3 reps, this week. Newbie gains, I'll take 'em.

Here! I did my first Sprint in 2013, in terrible shape, and it honestly wasn't a positive experience, but it was all of my own making. My dad wants to do a Sprint with me next year, so we're training through the next year to actually be prepared and in decent shape. I'm excited and dreading it all at once :)
