  • My name is Rachael and I would love to join this group! What a fun way to stay motivated :) Looking forward to making new friends along the way
  • I tried insanity and have strongly considered doing it again. Much like a previous poster, I didn't see the scale move, but I definitely felt better and I lost inches. Good luck to you :)
  • 9/1- 30 min walk with my kids and dog 9/2- some cardio in the office lol--shhh I did wall pushups, squats, jumping jacks and knee lifts to work on abs..I'm also going to be *attempting* to walk my dog when I get home from my internship.
  • I'm Rachael, 31 years old, from southern NJ. I have almost 11 year old boy/girl twins that I raise alone. I am currently in the process of re-losing the 20-25 lbs I gained back from April til now to get back to the 80 lb loss I was originally at. I am currently seeing someone (pretty new) and he is 100% supportive of my…
  • I'm aggressively getting back to into my cardio. I was doing an insane amount of cardio before while doing some lifting. I also have been logging everything that goes in my mouth. I did this before and was able to drop 80 lbs. I gained 20-25 of it back, so now I'm working on losing what I had already lost lol SUCKS…
  • my very first week on this journey I lost almost 6 lbs. ALOT of that was water weight and all that nonsense. It evened out after that and would fluctuate in +/- based on my activity level and food consumption. If I lifted, then I would see weeks where I would gain, but was losing inches.
  • Hi and welcome back!!! I have about 90-110 lbs left to go. Feel free to add me as well and lets rock it!
  • The guy I'm seeing right now is a doll. We haven't made anything "official", but he is the only one I talk to and see. We met on POF. After some real interesting guys, I found one that is nice...so FAR LOL play the field for a bit. The gym is always a fun way to meet people :) good luck hun!
  • If you aren't going to answer the questions, why even bother to respond at all? Some folks on here really are just looking for information. I usually gain 1-3 lbs of water retention depending on what I ate. I ALWAYS feel tightness in my hands after I eat Chinese food. I think what the other posters stated is good…
  • Hi All!!! My name is Rachael and I am so ready to re-commit to myself and this journey! Here are my stats as sad as they may be: Start weight: 302.6 Goal Weight: 140 Lbs to Lose: SO MANY!!! But for now- focusing in on 25 lbs increments 08/01: 250.2 (this is as of 8/18 since I am just getting back on track) 09/05: 10/03:…
  • Ideally, I want to get around 160 and then reassess. Originally when I started, I was obsessed with getting to 140. It would be nice to get there, but I think for the way my body is built 140-150 would be the best. Here's to drinking that water and stuffing my face with lots of protein!
  • I've been searching a ton of sites with how to freeze meals and what not. I am currently in the process of finding recipes to try this Sunday for breakfast and lunch/dinner. I'm gonna do a trial run this Sunday to see how it works well before I even start school. Thanks to all the suggestions and feedback
  • I do have a grill outdoors. I live in Southern NJ and it will be warm usually until mid October, end of Oct if we are lucky. I wont have time to do that though when I start school. I will be going right from work to an internship. Thanks for the input though! I was thinking that if I cook a lot on Sunday and then freeze…
  • thank you so much to all that have posted so far. I am definitely going to check out those 2 sites when I get home. I think my biggest confusion comes with no knowing what to do with my leftover chicken for example. Am I able to freeze it? I'm gonna comb through those sites and see what works best for me. I really do…
  • There is also a mud run just for women. It's called Dirty Girl. You can google them to see if they are in your area. I've been waiting forever to do one. I enjoy running sometimes on my own. Color runs, run or dye and things like that are a lot of fun. Everyone is super friendly. I did a half marathon and it was fun, but…
  • I started running slowly in Jan 2013 and I didn't feel any knee pain. Actually, I felt so much better..knees and my back. I agree with the others that have said watching your form and purchasing the right type of sneaker for your foot and how you run, which may change as you continue to lose weight. I used c25k to start me…
  • I wear the Asics, usually whatever the newest sneaker is that has the most gel. I've never had a problem with them before. I would advise the same as the others. Go back to the store, explain what happened and see if they can fit you with another sneaker for your foot. I know in NJ we have Brooks. They will actually put…
  • @DBoone- I would stay and watch the sunset too
  • Obviously, I am overweight and working towards a healthier version of myself. I have 2 children, a set of 10 year old twins. My daughter is curvy, has muscle and average weight for her age/height. My son on the other hand, is ranking high in the height/weight ratio. He plays soccer and is extremely active. Since I started…
  • somewhere between 5'5"-5'6" 249 lbs currently (I was 224  ) size 16. They fit me great everywhere but my belly right now bc I gained back some weight.
  • OP- I also enjoy zucchini and was really craving pizza one night, but didn't want to splurge all those calories. I googled how to make a pizza crust low calorie and I found zucchini pizza crust. It's super easy to make. I took 3 zucchini (doesn't matter the size) for my first trial run with it and grated it down until it…
  • My friend irl, Crystal. I spill everything to her. From how much I really weighed when I started to every issue with my dating life and everything in between. She's the greatest
  • That is awesome!!! Really great job!!!!!
  • This I think (I'm not a doctor), is completely normal. I have experienced this as well. I usually get hungry 3-4 hours later..then I eats all the food..NOM NOM NOM lol
  • just my 2 cents, but that looks so nasty.
  • I read the nutrition labels very carefully. It should tell you how much a serving is dry vs cooked. I used to cook my noodles seperately from my kids, but now I just weigh them out after the whole thing is cooked. If I'm feeling like I need to be exact, I measure out the 2oz dry then cook them. It should have the grams on…
