A voice of reason! I'm veggie (20 years now) because I saw a documentary about how animals were really killed for meat and at the time I believe there was not the same consideration for animal welfare or RSPCA freedom food etc. That said, my hubby and children are meat lovers and I happily cook it for them - it's their…

I'm going for 145 but to be honest, once I am in the size clothes I want I don't care what the number is! And at this moment in time, anything under 168 would be a start!

On the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD she says the reverse crunch (I think that's the name) is for the lower tummy pouch. It's the one where you do a crunch with your back flat but bring up your hips so your bottom is off of the floor. Hope this makes sense!

I struggle with Anita' s push ups, but what I am doing is still an effort so all in the right direction I guess! (I'm only on level one...)

I can't eat chips without bread and butter plus a dollop of brown sauce, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:tongue:

You could try substituting veggie mince in some of your normal recipes. My family is not veggie but I am, but I often use veggie mince in mexican food or lasagne (things with added flavour) and they love it, but it's much healthier and lower cal. You can also substitute half the 'meat' with lentils. I also like veggie…

What an amazing difference in two months, amazing, well done!

Your glasses really suit you

I like it so much I named myself after it :-) I love an illicit finger scoop from the jar but yummiest on crumpets with butter or on freshly toasted bread when you peel the top layer of the bread off to eat separately. Freaky but true *looks slightly bashful*

I'd be happy to support you :-)

Have you used the Basal Rate calculator on here? I'm not sure what yours would be, but I thought in general (obviously non personalised) men were aiming for 2500 cals a day. Well done on all your success though, although you have put some weight back on, think about all that remains OFF. Keep on going.

Days 1 and 2 were the worst. I did level 2 (still the beginners' versions!) for day 3 and today my thighs aren't hurting! Hooray. Keep it up, it gets better!

Day 3, level 2 (for a change). Still using bottles of water. Went to get some weights today but they only had wrist weights so didn't get anything. Phew, hot hot hot now.

L1D2 complete first thing in the morning to get it out of the way! Was feeling my muscles beforehand, I think they're gonna be singing later!!

- Your real first name? Lisa - Age? 35 - Location? Surrey - How much you have lost? 9lb - How much you have to go? 26lb - One interesting fact? I go to adult disco dancing classes. Makes my kids cringe!

Pls add me if there's room for one more! (Also started 30 day shred today, on same message thread as Kate!)

My goal is 147 but most importantly, I want to wear what I want and get rid of this muffin top!

How would you log this exercise?

Just done level 1, day 1. Did not realise I needed weights so just used tins of beans - not as heavy but better than putting off to the next day! Hard work!

Thank you. Previously I used one of my 4 'ch's - chocolate, cheese, chips or chianti but I am trying to avoid that connection with unhealthy food making me feel better. Seems I best put my trainers on and go for a run. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I have not been on MFP for long but found in week 3 when I ate my exercise calories I didn't even lose a pound but when I ignore them or eat half, I lose weight. I would much prefer to eat them! Also, what's your take on Saturdays off? If I was at 1200 all week then did not 'diet' on Saturdays, would this stop my…

Looking back through your diary, I see you don't have as many actual 'meals' as others and I reckon that having shakes and bars isn't making you psychologically think you have had a meal. Also, when you do eat pizza for example, rather than have one slice and feel deprived, if you perhaps served a large salad with it, it…

Same here, 48 hours. Well done on your progress btw, great stuff.

I've never tried smoking, as I watched my grandmother on an oxygen pump due to smoking induced emphysema and the image never went away. I never understood why other family members continued to smoke when they had seen it too, but the fact was no matter how much I nagged/cried/yelled they needed to decide for themselves.…

Don't give in, it will make you feel worse although I appreciate the chocolate-as-therapy feelings. Why don't you say you'll just do a 10 minutes workout - chances are you'll end up doing more, but if you don't that 10 minutes will still release some happy hormones. If all fails, have a big bubbly bath with a good book. ((…

I think it's about balance- try to be too radical and you risk chucking it all in but you equally have to be committed to change. As a first step, why not try what the others have said about making up some freezer meals or even the cook a chicken on sunday, cold meat on the Monday type of thing. Or try quick dinners like…
