  • I need some accountability, I am in!! :)
  • I completed a 5k today and beat my previous 5k time by 7 minutes!! How did you do???
  • I am also doing a 5k tomorrow. My goal is to finish with a better time than the last one I did, which was 57 minutes, not the fastest time by any means, even 30 seconds faster and I would be happy. You will do fine!! This is a big step for anyone and you are taking it!! Good luck tomorrow. :)
  • Thanks for posting the spreadsheet. I joined this group awhile ago, then got off track. I am trying to get back in the groove and have made it to the gym everyday this week. I have set the goal to get there 5x this week.
  • 30 minutes walking hills, 3.4 mph. 3 sets of 10 of the following: push ups, dips, tri kick backs (10 lbs db's), tri push downs (10 lb db's), cable flies, chest press(10 lb db's). Tomorrow I will be walking hills in 6 inches of snow. :) Thursday I will be working on legs. Friday I will be working on Lats/Bi's. All with 30…
  • I have to agree with the person above. Spend the money on supportive undergarments as well as shoes. I ended up going to a running store where they specifically fit me with a pair of shoes. Life has been so much better since I did that! Being a larger woman, I have found that Underarmour fits well, and I am not ashamed to…
  • 2 mile walk in 30 minutes, plus an hour at the pool. I feel great!!!
  • I go to a water aerobics class 5 days a week and experience the same thing. I found that if I do a protein shake (Monster Muscle Energy are my favorite and have 25 grams of protein and are about 200 calories) combined with a banana or bagel has helped immensely. The total calories are around 350.
  • I made quesadillas with flour tortillas, but I'm sure you could substitute corn tortillas. Here is what I did. I hope it helps. :) Spinach/Mozzarella Cheese Quesadilla 2 wheat tortillas 1/4 cup of low fat mozzarella shredded cheese 1 cup of raw spinach It is 227 calories. :) Put cheese and spinach between the 2 tortillas…
  • I can do this!! I go to water aerobics every day. CHECK CHECK DONE!!
  • I completely agree with trying to get outside!! I found a water aerobics class at the local pool and have really been enjoying it. I haven't bought a gym membership and am not so sure I want to. I will make that decision when it gets too cold to exercise outside. Finally, I have found that cooking with a crockpot has been…
  • I am also looking to lose more than a 100. Feel free to add me!! It is always good to know of others that share a similar goal.
  • I could use some of that sexy!! Consider yourself friended!!
  • Welcome and congrats!! Feel free to add me as well. I want to support and help as many people as I can. I could also use more friends to help keep me motivated.
  • Bump, I have so much more energy since beginning to exercise regularly. My husband is loving it definately a very happy and satisfied man. :smooched: :blushing:
  • Yoplait light yogurt, I love the Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Boston Creme Pie. I also try to eat a banana or have some grapes with it.
  • Hi, I am Katie and relatively new as well. I am still trying to figure out the whole weight loss thing. I have always been on the heavy side. I gained weight while pregnant and never lost it. I was also recently diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and take medication every day. The whole reason I have decided to…
  • I also had one of those days and am looking for tips. The only thing I can think of is more fiber and protein, but even after that, I am still starving.
  • I agree, my husband has been loving that I have been working out more. :blushing:
  • Day 3 done and feeling good!!
  • Day 2, 25 crunches done. I have to admit I am feeling it. LOL, if I am feeling it after after 2 days, I am scared to see what I will be feeling at 50 crunches or 150 crunches?
  • Starting tomorrow:smile:
  • My doctor suggested eating 5-6 small meals a day. My meals consist of a protein, carb and a fruit or vegetable with 2-3 of these meals a day. For example, I might have a yogurt, 1/2 bagel with nutella. The benefits of eating 5/6 small meals a day? My blood sugar stays consistent and I have found that I actually eat less…
  • Rather than being afraid, you should be PROUD!! Coming to terms and asking for help is an excellent step. I feel very similarly, motivation is hard when you don't know how it feels to be in shape. However, I celebrate the small accomplishments. Like taking the stairs every day rather than the elevator, staying under my…
