Um, yes please! I would love a friend who actually looks at what I log (or don't log) and says something about it instead of just liking my updates! I can commit to checking in on you at least once a day, and I would love it if you'd do the same.

Both of these people are right. I was lucky in that the first CrossFit gym I went to was great...owned by a coach who's more interested in safety and improving overall fitness than in pushing people to get bigger weights and faster times at the expense of their bodies. If the coaches at a gym aren't going through the…

I've been doing CrossFit since the end of last August. I love the coaches, the other CrossFitters, and the energy that's in every class. I was never able to stick with a workout program for more than a few months until this, but I actually want to go to CrossFit. I didn't really change my diet until a few months ago, so…

Got my first double-under today! I've been trying for months, and today it just clicked. Now I'm going to go for consecutive double-unders.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and on your success! I agree with everyone here: you look amazing, and so happy. I also love the way your new hair and clothes complement the exuberant, strong person you seem to be in your writing.

It's awesome that he joined you when he realized he couldn't convince you to stay with him. :) I ended up going on my own last night. I don't blame my wife for not wanting to go...she works 60+ hours most weeks and we get up at 5:30am to walk the dogs before work, so by the time the 7:00pm Crossfit class rolls around, its…

Just for today, 4/11, I will: 1) not binge. 2) walk and do yoga (Saturdays are rest days for me). 3) eat mindfully.
-
Just for today, 4/10, I will: 1) eat only food I bring to work. 2) work out after work. 3) drink at least 80 oz of water.
-
Just for today, 4/9, I will: 1) only eat the food I bring (not bingeing is easy at work...it's avoiding the junk people bring in that's hard!). 2) make use of my morning (instead of sitting at my computer or on my phone for the two hours between breakfast and leaving for work). 3) work out after work.
-
Just for today, 4/8, I will: 1) not binge. 2) not multi-task my food. Trying this again. 3) vacuum, take out the trash, do a load of laundry, and clean the bathrooms.

@losingrae, thank you! My dogs are the sweetest (if also most poorly behaved)! I love your picture too. :) So cute!

Just for today, 4/7, I will: 1) not binge. 2) not multi-task my food. Focusing on what I'm eating instead of simultaneously reading or surfing the web will probably help with #1. 3) keep an open mind at my first therapy appointment (I've never done anything like this, but after gaining 15 lbs in 3 months due to binge…

I'm right there with you. Walking into a store and not having to talk myself out of binge-trigger foods would be such a peaceful experience. Congrats on getting to the point where you actually don't want it (even just once is a success)!!!

Just for today, 4/6, I will: 1) not binge. 2) log every bite. 3) not buy foods I like to binge on when I'm grocery shopping.
-
Just for today, 4/5, I will: 1) not binge. 2) log every bite. 3) plan next week's meals.
-
@bri170lb, perfect goals for a holiday! Enjoy your day!
-
I'm exactly the same way! I like to make smaller daily or weekly goals, that way I can satisfy my desire to get there already while working toward something bigger. Just don't let yourself get too satisfied with meeting the small goals.

Check, check, and check! One binge-free day! It might not seem like much, but this is a big deal for me. Just for today, 4/4, I will: 1) not binge. 2) drink 80 oz. of water. 3) log every bite.
-
Just found this thread, and I love it! Just for today, 4/3, I will: 1) not binge. 2) work out. 3) log every bite.

I'm a server at a high-end restaurant in the U.S. I expect people to tip well because, as has been said several times, I make drastically less than minimum wage. I am just doing my job, but if you go to an American restaurant, you have to keep in mind that your server is not getting paid to do his/her job unless you pay…

Nice job! I think it's awesome when a woman's weight has hardly changed, but her body looks totally different. Also, I love your wavy hair in the more recent pic. :)

Ha! +1

Are you entering all of the foods you eat in your MFP food diary? If your diary is actually complete (or even close to complete), you are drastically under eating, and I would agree with the above posters that you should talk to a professional. MFP members have a lot of opinions, and many of them are correct*, but many of…

I totally used to do the same thing, where I would work out and eat perfectly every day, then take one day off or eat a doughnut and suddenly I stopped working out and started overeating, and that would continue for weeks or months until I "started over" again. In Feburary, I decided to stop "starting over," and I think…

I just discovered this thread today: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/113609-relatively-light-people-trying-to-get-leaner It's super helpful. Basically, it talks about lifting, cardio, how much you should be eating based on your body weight, etc. There is a ton of useful information there, and it goes for pages and…

Me too. I don't comment unless I've read the food diary (and then only if I can honestly say "good job"). And I never comment on these kinds of posts if the person's food diary is closed. If I don't have the time to check, I also don't comment. I'll probably have time to do it tomorrow. :)

It's so inspiring to read about everyone else's goals! I've been losing about half a pound a week, and I'm hoping to be able to keep that up, although I expect the loss to slow down more and more as I get closer and closer to my goal. In three months, half a pound per week would put me at 122.5, which is 4.5 pounds shy of…

What about for baking? I use olive oil and other oils for almost all of my cooking (I actually even eat dry toast, not buttered toast), but that's not possible with things like pie crusts, tarts, etc. The only other alternative to butter I can think of in some recipes is shortening, and the same arguments against margarine…

I wish! But goat's milk is just as bad for me. Hives, trouble breathing, etc. I can consume very small amounts once in a while, but too much at once or too frequently triggers a reaction, and I can never predict how bad the reaction will be. Much as I'm not a fan of the processed nature of margarine and other dairy…

There was just a post about this a couple of days ago, and I posted in there. It's here, if you want to check it out: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1050028-smoothies There's another thread here with a bunch: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1016885-smoothie-recipe-ideas Have fun with your blender!
