Wow you look great! Good luck with your half marathon!

I find I really have to concentrate to walk fast, as soon as I start day dreaming or thinking of chores for the day I slow down. I've found if I make the effort to take bigger steps, swing my arms and basically get my hold body moving it speeds things up but I really have to concentrate or I slow down again. I prefer…

You all look really amazing, hopefully soon I will be able to post such a remarkable change too! Well done!!

As said previously its not worth you worrying over, if he likes sandwiches have bread. Im a vegetarian and have been for all 34 years of my marriage at first due to lack of time, energy, motivation, I let my diet slide and just ate the carbs and veggies of whatever I cooked for him without the meat and within a few years…

What a wonderful story, you've done a fantastic job and your words are so motivating, well done! I'm surprised your friends at the pancake house even recognized you, you look like a totally different person!

Fantastic job, well done!

What an amazing story, you should be so proud of yourself you really are an inspiration to everybody. You look like a totally different person. Oh I loved your smile in the hospital photo, brought back memories of me on Percocet...thankfully mine was just for foot surgery!!

Fantastic job well done!

Hi Shelly you can do it! Feel free to add me and I will try all I can to encourage you.

Totally agree with the two comments above. Try to build on your relationship and try to encourage healthy habits and encourage her to move more without being critical. She has to want to do this. Im facing something similar with my daughter so I know how frustrating and worrying it is for you but you cant do it for her.

Show it off with pride you earned it. I think if I dropped to a 12 I would be at work in a cropped top and thong...well maybe not that might clear the office but you know what I mean, I would be so happy, cant remember how many years since I saw a 16 far less a 12. Well done on your loss!

Well done on the progress so far. Are you sure you are accurately measuring. I have done both weighing and cups and weighing is much more accurate. If you are measuring with cups, keep doing what you are doing for a few more weeks and if you see no change I would buy some scales and try that.

If you are feeling good and don't need to know why bother if you feel it will discourage you. Do what feels good for you. I weigh every day, just habit but only log my weight once a week or when I remember.

Impossible to narrow down it was the best decade ever! My favourite was glam rock, anything by Bowie, T Rex, but also a variety of the others - Elvis, Melanie, David Soul (yes I admit it!), Carpenters, Dr Hook, Stylistics, Boney M, The New Seekers...and am sure the Brits among us could not forget Bennie Hill and…

Hi welcome both of you.

I would try guessing like suggested above. If you scramble eggs at home you will have some idea of how much one or two eggs look like and use that as a guide and as suggested if you lose you know you are guessing right. There are always ways to get round problems and having another set of eyes look over your issues can…

Probiotic yoghurts maybe??

I know just how you feel, I too find it hard. Im close to 60, work full time, have a grandson living with us on the ASD spectrum who is tireless, am a volunteer policewoman, as well as doing other voluntary things, my days are full and there are many times I just want to lay on the couch, eat junk and do nothing. Some days…

I used to do a class and got so flexible and my balance improved and when the instructor left I asked if she could recommend a DVD and she told me about Shirva Rea and I got one of her DVDs that you can add in what parts you want. Unfortunately stopped doing it for a while and now find it so hard to keep up with, but have…

Hi Nola Im not experienced by far, but will still give what advice I can. Are you weighing all your foods to make sure you are getting an accurate amount? For years I went to a boot camp type circuit 1 hour 3 times a week, I also ran, but the weight never came off and every time I stopped for whatever reason I would gain…

Used to live down your way and was always on your lovely sandy beaches and Hayling Island. Feel free to add me, it is a struggle, but just keep logging your foods in and try to keep active. Once you get it into a routine it gets easier, especially if you are like me and have favourite foods as they are right there for you…

Im not keen on cereal or 'sweet' breakfasts, much prefer something like toast and peanut butter, or cheese or marmite ;) However, I've found an instant oatmeal I like and have taken it to work for the days I don't have time before I leave home. Im one of those that cant do without my breakfast!

Hi, Im in my 50s, but in denial that I am an 'older' person :) I was a skinny child and put on once I started office work as a young adult. Even when doing a boot camp workout 3x a week I never lost and that's when I realized it is mostly about diet, but you need the exercise too. I find the tracking on here so easy, you…

Counting calories is much better...well I think so anyway. WW never worked for me especially the 'free foods' everything has calories and you need a deficit to lose. It does get harder as we get older, but just keep logging everything and try to exercise, whatever you can do adds up.
