It happens. 3 surgeries later, including complete hysterectomy and bladder sling, I will just say...be careful.

My alarm rings at 4:30 AM so I can use the treadmill or elliptical before I shower. Then 20 to 30 minutes more immediately after work.

I have 2 bad knees and have been pleased with the workout on my elliptical. Definitely builds up thigh muscles without the impact on your knees.

Gin Miller is really good. And she's all about proper form so you don't get hurt. I ordered her dvd from Amazon.

OK, now I'm bummed. I'm at that 8 month mark and the scales have not moved in several weeks. I interpret this article as saying I should NOT be eating back my exercise calories unless I'm burning more than 500 a day? Anyone else?

I haven't tried Aunt Jemima but Hungry Jack has whole wheat and they're delicious! Very light and fluffy.

That at age 60, I could sling a kettlebell around, develop defined muscles in my arms, and love every minute of it! Thanks, MFP!!

Now I'm older than dirt, but I have to say Jack LaLane( may he rip). He just seemed to enjoy grabbing women's thighs and buttocks to demonstrate a move way too much! And had a cocky attitude like he invented fitness.

Keep track of your sodium intake and drink lots of water...at least 8 glasses per day.

Kettlebells. Cardio and strengthening in a 25 minute workout including warm up and cool down.

Love my kettlebell workout!!! I had never found a workout that I looked forward to until the kettlebells. Great cardio that works your entire body. And they don't take the nearly the square footage that total gyms and such equipment require!

I agree that this is a huge victory! A coworker brought fresh donuts to work this morning and I didn't have to leave the room in order to resist. My only thoughts were "Yuck, those are going straight to their hips and stomach!" Continued good luck to you!

I just bought a New Balance HRM at Target for $65 with a chest strap. Also says it's good for swimming. Has all the settings you'll need.
