I say all of this as a person who has been both obese and underweight and in both cases had different physical or mental health problems related to my weight and lifestyle. Also I'm speaking specifically about the media I am exposed to which comes predominantly from Australia and the US. I know media and beauty standards…

I was at my ideal weight when I joined but between September and now I have gained 17kgs. I'll probably be more active in this group this year

I'm not supporting the egg fast, but just noting that I'm fairly sure eggs are rich in all micro-nutrients, except vitamin C. So that is probably why eggs are the chosen food for this, in addition to being one of the most keto-friendly foods. Again, I don't think a fast is necessary, but if someone is going to do this, I…

As mentioned, I am not concerned with the exact calorie content unless it significantly alters my intake for the day. So a ballpark figure would be fine. Yeah, I know it is has a lot of sugar per 100ml. But I am wondering what the significance of a 10ml dose is.

Thanks so much! Just wondering, if I wanted to make it savoury, would I ommitt the sugar and add salt/herbs instead? Also can wholemeal flourb be used?

Thanks! Do you have the recipe for zichini bread, pumkin bread and bean pattiea?

Thanks for sharing. It is normally my partner and I, so typically I make 4 servings and thag lasg 2 nights. So I divide the main dish and we serve ouraelves for rice/ pasta. I am making a lentil stroganoff type dish but with potato. I rarely use potato so I am tossing up between a. cooking and serving it separately or, b.…

Vegetable korma with naan bread. At a restaurant that doesn't display nutritional information. I rarely eat out, but this is just something I love. For example, the last time I went out to Indian was with my family on my Birthday.

I am from Brisbane. :)

Thanks for the link! Do you reckon that would still work if I am using a curry paste?

Every person's body responds differently to different sweeteners. I am good with sucarlose but Stevia gives me stomach problems. Other people have the opposite experience. Try something and see how you find it.

String cheese is a great snack idea! Thanks. I have never seen or heard of Carnations until now. I wonder if it exists here in Australia.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think I really just lack any concept of how long things keep for.

Hmm.. Maybe I'll make some pancakes so I only have to buy half the amount of Quest bars!
-
Yeah,I was thinking about Quest Bars because I LOVE them. They are a little pricey unless I buy a whole box though. But they will be my go-to option if I don't find a recipe. :)

I'm also sharing with a tent with people so I would prefer something that doesn't fall into what is widely perceived as 'diet food'.

Socalkay, I can not find the brand name in thst lost, although it is a great resource! Also, I am not going to pay much attention to any opinions about how to drink something from a taste perspective because I am already familiar with what I like I have a serious issue with the idea that there are 'correct' and 'incorrect'…

Because I prefer the taste of it mixed and it makes only one calorie difference than on the rocks.

I'm a low-moderate carb vegetarian. I like to have at least some grain or starch with my evening meals, but try to focus on getting lots of protein during the day. Can I add people here for recipe ideas?

Does anyone know if there are retail stores in Brisbane that sell Waldens Farm products? I can't have things delivered to my address (it's complicated) so I was wondering if there is a way around that.
-
Sorry?
-
I will definitely try that at some stage. I just like the idea of a single, easily-divisible dish since I am logging. Also, does anyone know if there is a way I can edit the typo in the topic?

Thanks. Re. Jello. it frustrates me that I can find sugar free jello, and I can find vegetarian Jello, but I cant find sugar free jello that doesnt use beefgelatin.
-
Thanks. Can it be done without gelatin?

Oh, and cottage cheese. And oats, but I am aiming for low-carb. I forgot to mention: I'm trying to get out of my habit of drinking tea and hot chocolate at night. Over the course of the day I consume a LOT of liquid (including 2 litres of water, coffee, and my morning protein drink). I think I have bladder problems (I'm…

I saw this thread and thought it made sense to post here. Sorry to get personal but I feel this is relevant. I have a history of eating disorders that range in phases between obsessive restriction, binge eating disorder and 'recovering and starting to relax about food'. ** I was obese up until my early teen years and…

Hi, Sorry if this isn't much help. I personally don't have an overall macro goal, in terms of percentages. But I do look at the individual macros in foods becuase they will influence my success in sticking to a calorie deficit. In general, it is a lot easier for me to stick to a calorie deficit when I am getting lots of…

I put it on the scales and it weighed 460. The thing is that even after draining tofu it is still carrying a lot of water. I tried calling the company but no answer. Will try again tomorrow. Thanks everyone anyway.
