Trendweight is amazing. great service. Highly recommended for fitbit aria scale users :drinker: :drinker: Excellent for cutting through the random fluctuations a persons weight goes through, to give overall trend.

I like the training programs on offer on Runkeeper. Once you have selected a plan you have scheduled run days and rest days throughout the week. It even sends you gentle reminders if you havn't done your run on the allocated day, which is handy for desk bound workers like me to get a friendly nudge out the door to do a…

runkeeper has goals you can set and training programs to choose from which are both very good for motivation one of my friends has a countdown to this marathon he is training for on his feed which is a nice reminder about his end goal I also like the customisable timings the program will give you such as the one I have…

I'm loving stronglift too, and appreciate you wanting to spend more time in the gym than the recommended 3 times. I''ve been on the program 2 months and was in the gym 5 days a week over the christmas break. must admit my knees got a bit sore with all the squats i was doing.

Keeping thread for inspiration to start hitting the gym.

Its not perfect, but overall its great for motivation and accountability. Issues I've found: -False manual readings sent to phone app and MFP, aswell as aria reading -Rounding up readings when it uploads to your phone app...really irritating. -Fat % readings all over the place I am never going to buy a normal scale again.…

Really interesting point there. I was wondering what body fat % I should aim for.

Entertaining read..lol

Oh dear yes I love wine. I have been laying off it though as I think the extra calories will slow my weight loss.

I did a couple of weeks of zombie to 5k. The workouts aren't very challenging early on. To be honest I didn't get much out of it.
-
Great thread. Makes me want to get up half an hour earlier so I can go to the gym before work. Come to think of it I am going to start next week. :-)

Wow thats brave.

I am in. Can't go to bed till I hit 10000 every day.

Good luck with your fitbit. Its extremely addictive and fun.

Every day first thing in the morning. My fitbit aria scales sync with most of my apps. Seeing the slow incremental weight loss on a graph is a huge motivator. Sometimes it goes up on a particular day, but its nice to see the downward trend.

I would love to lose another 18.5 kg and I am on track to do it!

Hi there I can definately recommend swimmng. Its cardio exercise as well as resistance training. I have been swimming for fitness for three weeks with my wife and we are totally hooked. I went from doing 900m in 30 minutes to 1300m in 25 minutes. My wife has gone from 200m to 600m. You can se some great gains very quickly.…

Some great weblinks to try guys. Cheers. Likely to help me plan my swimming workouts better.

Hi I am quickly becomint addicted to swimming and seeing great improvements in a short period of time. It would by great to shareworkouts as I pretty much swim freestyle for half an hour each time and have just been increasing distance.

Awesome conversation guys. I have got some great pointers and ideas. I am going to have a look at my calorie allocation to start with. (It hasn't changed for a couple of months)
-
You can add me too. I am 42 and have 2 daughters. MFP is heaps better with a bit of encouragement.
-
Count me in. There are so many running events on the Gold Coast and I would love to do the Sydney City to Surf. I will rope my wife in too. Great idea man!

I am pleased to hear people are achieving weight loss through swimming. I recently injured myself doing crossfit so I have taken up swimming as an alternative while I heal up. I am surprised how relaxed and re-invogorated I feel after a swim. I am really enjoying it. I swim 30 minutes a day.
