  • Cute scarf and hair. :)
  • Thanks for the encouragement everyone!! I appreciate it.
  • Yes, good call with the war analogy. I know, I have good days and bad days and one bad day isn't going to derail anything. But sometimes if I get an attitude like that, then I give myself credence to keep eating like crap! Grrr. But yeah, maybe I should try protein shakes too. Thank you for the encouragement!
  • Thanks, I think you are right with the weighing... :ohwell: I'm sometimes not as good about that as I should be. Thanks!
  • Good point with tightening up the diet. Since I lost so much weight, I justify it to myself that I can have a late night snack or go get greasy Chinese food. I think I do need to be better about eating more healthy and not making excuses. Thanks!!
  • I have the same problem. I know it's hard to actually do, but a doctor told me once, if you're hungry, eat an apple. If you don't want to eat an apple, you probably aren't really that hungry. Keep apples or pears with you in your purse. If you see a piece of cake, take out your apple and eat that instead! I know it doesn't…
  • I have been eating better now also.
  • I think you should switch it up instead of doing the elliptical everyday. Your body gets use to that, you should try cross training and switching it up. Running on the treadmill, bicycle, swimming, hiking, etc.
  • My will power sucks too. Ha! Here is how I helped overcome my food cravings. I portioned out snacks every night for work and play the next day. I know about 9 am I get hungry so I bring an apple or banana to work to get that sweet fix but not breaking my day. Then, after I eat lunch, I know at about 2 or 3 pm I really want…
  • So basically no carbs? That's what I'm getting out of it.
  • What does that diet entail? One of my friends is doing that and she has lost 70 pounds so far.
  • Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I cried a bunch yesterday and that helped. Unfortunatly my stiches are in my nether regions and I cannot take baths, plus I get yeast infections. :ohwell: So that's no fun! But I have started doing yoga and that does help some. Thanks everyone! I appreciate it! :flowerforyou:
  • I am the same way as well. I eat a lot of fruit and drink natural fruit juices sometimes that does not help at all! Hmm at the moment I don't have any great suggestions but I will think on it today and get back to you my dear! I need help with the sugar intake, too.
  • Thanks for the comments everyone. I will think about this. I am just not sure if I did it, I would have the kind of food to eat on the diet so that is another reason I don't think I will do this.

  • Hey there! I am new here too! So I so far do not have too much advice, but I think that is amazing that you are doing the 5K! That is very admirable and will definitely broaden your horizons and get you in shape!

  • Good call with the low carbs thing. I am currently on the shot for birth control and since I have started that six months ago I have gained 25 pounds! It makes people "seek" carbs and store them as fat so I really need to cut out some carbs. I am going to change my birth control in March I think.
