  • Blackmores Mens Performance Multi Vitamin is excellent, been using it for years and notice when I go without. I box intensively 6-10 days a week so my body soaks up nutrients, wouldnt use any other.
  • sorry for the late reply - I got my two made from a mate who is a dental technician. The custom fit makes it easier, but a few tips: - wet it before putting it in. - try training in it first (padwork, jogging) as that will help you get used to breathing with it in. Its important to get a good fit, particularly if your…

  • The only advice I can give (and Im no expert!) is to try and go with the flow and not over cook things........ enjoy life and whats meant to be will finds its way to you. Obviously the above is easier said than done. Chin up.............. you will be surprised what will eventually unfold when you least expect it. As my…

  • Welcome aboard Guys!
  • Im just lucky to have found it while I still have a small window to enjoy it. Even better to be getting a chance to spar against my trainer who is due to turn pro in May. He has a lead-in fight in March on the undercard of a big event here in Australia. Its a night of Boxing, MMA and Kickboxing with a world title…

  • Thanks for the tips - I try and jump rope once to twice a week (5x3min rounds). Also we have a blue roller but Im not as disciplined with using it, I need to add it after every training session rather than just when I'm hurting! I do use my jab a lot, challenge is I spar against my trainer and he is very good (he's turning…

  • Hi Kelli - welcome aboard! As trkinsky says, only a few members so I also only check back once to twice a week. Still some good experience to tap into, you'll definitely get a lot from trkinsky as he's a machine on the heavy bag!
  • Id been looking for a while but then realised I had 20k worth of frequent flyer points and the points-shop had Sennheiser/Adidas available so I ordered a pair. I'll let you all know how they go.
  • I'm getting into the tinned variety after wanting improved fuel for breakfast............ loving the simplicity with some lemon, cracked pepper and salt on toast. Tomorrow Im indulging (being Sunday) so goung to do them on nice toasted wholemeal bread with some Tabasco sauce. Should get my engine started before a Glove/Pad…
  • Creatine was great when i was into getting muscle size. Helped me get an extra couple of reps out but more than anything, I saw immediate visual improvement in terms of muscle size and definition. It was all just surface improvements though due to it being from water retention, as soon as I took a rest from creatine the…
  • What weight gloves do you use and what type of training do you do with them?
  • The three ingredients 1 - Good Gloves 2 - Proper Wrapping (including between the knuckles) 3 - Punching Form When I first started Boxing I would often have problems with my pinky knuckle on my right. With my trainer, I slowed my punch down and we worked out quickly that I was over extending my cross when rotating (meaning…

  • You sometimes get these through Grocery Run for $2 each.
  • aye, I use mapmyrun and it's a great tool!!!
  • I joined too - hopefully I remember each week!
  • My trainers (boxing) are trying to convince me to do a half marathon mid-year........ daunting prospect!
  • the easiest way is to just go out and put one step in front of the other............... not being a smart *kitten*, Im speaking from someone who in the main hates running! I've learned not to think about it, just do it whenever the opportunity arises and by the time my brain realises, I'm already pounding the pavement.
  • Even the fittest of people had to start somewhere.
  • Aussie here (good old South East Qld!).
  • Warning: Not always the tamest of lyrics on that playlist! But the perfect amount of repetition and aggression for a power session on the bag.
  • As per above, the below is the HipHop playlist: I'll post the Dance playlist later (it has two hours of music!).
