  • Goal for April is 25 miles.
  • I think I am going to hit my goal for the month :)
  • I have been insanely busy and haven't been able to read posts. I am so far behind I will never catch up on reading it all. I have now lost 102lbs (although ticker says 75 as I lost some before joining) I am now out of the 200lbs + club. And today, I jogged for 1.5 miles without having having to walk. To me this is huge as…
  • Did 4k jog/walk tonight on the dreadmill....
  • HI there. I am almost 44 years old. I have lost in total 99lbs although my ticker only says 71. I lost 28 before I found MFP. Anyone of you are welcome to add me as a friend.
  • @Elise4270 your comment made me realize that all the people I work with that have knee problems don't run either. @JessicaMcB Thanks for the wonderful inspiration and quoting the poetry. I loved it so much I shared it with my friends. I think it is amazing that you did a run with your girl and that she was able to do 5K.…
  • I am in love with running/jogging/ walking. I am amazed at how much better I feel already and I only started a few weeks ago. Really noticed a difference on the stairs at work. Before I used to barely make it to the top and now I can run up them...Yay me!!!!. Anyone else have issues with people being negative about…
  • this is very addictive lol I am amazed at how fast I am improving. When I first started running again a couple of weeks ago I could barely last 1 minute and walk for 2 minutes. Now I can run 2 minutes and walk 1 minute.
  • @7lenny7 Thanks. I do try to inspire people. @Elise4270 Thanks. My secret... I hate shoes unless I am dressing up, then I love them. I have always went barefoot as much as possible and I think that has toughened them up. I find that wearing shoes on the treadmill makes my muscles hurt.
  • Does anyone else enjoy running barefoot? I always run barefoot on the treadmill.
  • Hi. Just started the 2nd week of C25K. I am really enjoying it. I have set my goal for 40 km this month. I am amazed at how much better I feel already and how much easier it is to run after losing weight. Not sure why my ticker says 50 and I have tried to change it lol. Maybe I will try for it
  • I would like to join. I walk, don't run ( not yet anyways ) I eventually want to but need to lose a little more weight. July 13 - 2.5 miles
  • Sugar in my coffee is one thing I cannot do without. Honey in coffee is disgusting. Sweetener changes the taste. Just make sure to log them. If you find that they are taking up to many of your calories, try to reduce the amount you put in

  • I am in again this month. I didn't do to well last month but am going to try harder. The weather is getting warmer so hopefully we can get outside for more walking [/url]
  • I am still having issues getting motivated but did manage to get on the treadmill last night for 1.5 miles. Still have a long way to go for this month. Still really cold outside :(
  • Happy Friday the 13th everyone. There is a town close to here. Port Dover, where all the bikers gather on Friday the 13th but I don't think they will be gathering there today. We are in a deep freeze. It is 8F but feels like -6F. Any colder and our cars won't want to start. Did karate with my boy last night. It was blast…
  • Hey everyone. I would love to join in. I have lost motivation to work out and I find having a goal to meet helps motivate me. I haven't worked out in over 2 weeks, and also haven't logged my food. I really need to get back on track. I live in Ontario, Canada so I don't walk outside in the winter ( I hate the cold ) I do…
  • Add some fruits and veggies to your diet. Try some bran cereal also.
  • I don't know my measurement nor do I care. I know they have gotten smaller as I lose weight but they are still large. They fit right in with the rest of my body... big butt, big boobs big thighs.... but I love myself. I am not uncomfortable with how I look. I think likeing your body is more important then your measurements
  • I was down about 25lbs before I really noticed a change in how my clothes fit. I recommend the thrift stores. I find having clothes that fit me right make me feel better, even if I only have 3 pairs of jeans that do. You may also find good used clothes online. We have a swap site on facebook for people in the general area…
  • I weigh 251 lbs and I eat 1700 calories a day plus I eat back my exercise calories. I am steadily losing weight, 22 lbs in 11 weeks. 1200 cals is too low. Try upping your cals for a few weeks and see what happens. Also measure your food to make sure you are eating the amount that you are logging. Good luck.
  • I use whey protein shakes for breakfast everyday as I don't like to eat in the morning. it's working for me.
  • I am not a breakfast person so I have a protein shake almost every day. Days I work I also have one for lunch or dinner depending on my shift. The ones I have for lunch or dinner, I add a banana and 1TBSP of peanut butter to make them more filling.
  • 5' 2.5" Age- 39 SW 273 CW 252.5 GW 160 and will re-evaluate when I get there Cardio, cardio, cardio. I walk/jog at least 3-4 hours per week. Also try to fit in 10km on a bike. Calorie intake - 1700. And yes, I eat back my exercise calories. On the days I work (bartender) I eat around 2200. Losing 2.5lbs per week. Down 20lbs…
  • For a calorie bump try chocolate protein powder, banana, 2 tblsp peanut butter, milk, blend and drink for a calorie count of 547.
