  • Great job 17lbs in 2 months!! Getting tight clothes to fit comfy is also a mood booster. Today I'm breaking in my 1st ever pair of size 6 jeans :) Perfect fit so just letting them get a bit stretched out like all jeans tend to do
  • My favorite is "are you sick?" I've also got the you're wasting away. You're going to disappear if you lose anymore. People don't see the things I see like the thighs and hips that won't budge! I'm almost there but the closer I get the more remarks that get made.
  • I got sick at the beginning, like a cold that hurt enough that soda felt bad going down so I stopped the soda, by the time I was done being sick I wasn't craving it anymore. Plus I dropped 10 pounds from not eating much while being sick. at that point my ankle pain lessened and I was able to start walking, and dropped…
  • I've got a bag ready to go to goodwill if I ever remember to drop it off, but after looking at my closet I need a warm winter or a lot of gift cards to Kohls so I can buy some winter clothes!
  • Haha really wanted to do one on Nov 2nd a Biggest Loser one is about an hour away but looks like I will be out of town. Thinking about one in December otherwise most likely March :-\ Had a blast doing it yesterday though it was much more fun than my regular work outs lol
  • Yes it is all week I was nervous that something would go wrong and I'd do worse than I did 2 yrs ago. A nice deep cough set in last week, but luckily didn't affect my running ability. I'm not one who smiles much but you still can't get the grin off my face for doing as well as I did today (still about 12 min slower than…
  • Well my prep work worked out well. Thursday I did an incline work, then just an easy 40 min 3.5mph walk on Friday and off on Saturday. Sunday was my 5k and I managed a personal record of 39:03 over a minute better than any of my training 5ks and a heck of a lot hillier of a race! And to think my I'll be super happy number…
  • Pandora on my kindle or watching movies on my external hd on my kindle
  • I don't log sugar free gum, and usually forget to log the mustard I put on a sandwich I take to work and add there. Other than that if its 1 M&M I will log it, need to keep myself as honest as possible. I no longer log my exercise I'm trying to eat off of TDEE-20% so I log that I did it at 1 cal
  • The equipment is more accurate when it asks for your weight and height, or at least weight. Many treadmills do and some exercise bikes. Using a treadmill that asks your weight will be more accurate than MFP as it knows the speed changes you did or inclines where as its flat 3 4 5 mph no variation on MFP. Many people say…
  • I plan my day out entirely the night before I know how many "free" calories I will have so if I do get hungry and its not one of my 3 times to eat I know what I can have, and if I'm full when it comes to the end of the day meal I may lighten it or skip it altogether if I'm really just feeling stuffed. I follow the TDEE…
  • I like getting it over with in the morning, I don't have to get up as early as you, but by the time I get home from work I'm sluggish and dreading the basement. For me to do it in the evening would mean not eating til after 8 pm and I just don't like to eat anything heavy that late :-\ I've found if I try to eat before I…
  • My name is Angela, originally from NY moved to KY in 2005 to go to the University of Louisville to finish up my Equine degree, then stuck around for the horses. Live in Oldham county about 20 minutes outside of Louisville. Started this weight loss journey about 2 years ago, at about 230 pounds and got done to about 170 and…
  • For treadmill/bike/light weights I use my basement, when I need to get outside I go to the Commerce Parkway trail in Oldham County.
  • Could always cook up some chicken breast the night before and bring that to work
  • 1699 is TDEE (2124)-20%. BMR is what your body needs to survive doing nothing all day.
  • Not eating enough, most of your days you are 300-400 under your goal. Remember MFP creates the 500 calorie deficit for us. Eat more protein it will help keep you full longer and help you maintain lean muscle while losing. Also since you don't have much to lose its not going to fall off quickly. And if your body isn't used…
  • Ditch Chobani it is high in sugar, dannon light n fit greek is about half the sugar if I remember correctly
  • Congrats on your 5k and finishing in front of nearly 75% of the people! I've got mine in 13 days...my goal not to get hit by a car and to finish in better than 50 min (walked same race 2 yrs ago in about 52, adding some running to it this year.)
  • TDEE is only good if you have a set schedule of workout activities that you know you will work out 3x 4x 5x 6x a week at a good intensity. If you are just going to workout out here and there then MFP calculations are best to use. I use TDEE method to an extent because I cringe at the idea of eating back my workout…
  • I'd like to lose the final 10/11 lbs by the end of the year, but I know from past past experiences its doesn't end there I can't go back to where I was before eating the way I was.
  • I was 38 when I started 2 yrs ago down to 25.3 now just above the normal weight range when I'm done it should be a 24 :)
  • Awesome job! Doing it right not rushing it and being happy with yourself is the most important part of the weight loss journey! Wish I could say I'm not in a rush LOL! I can see a change in myself when I started 2 yrs ago the goal was 150 (finish weight), now that I'm almost there I know I'm not done yet and hope that its…
  • I have a 32oz bottle of water I drink the full amount every 2 hrs at work (aka time between breaks) so by the end of the end of the work day I've had 4 bottles so 128oz, and generally will drink one more at home. Its easier for me than many people because I don't drink other items like soda, or calorie drinks (ok minus my…
  • stop by again take a cup home and measure it with a measuring cup? or most cups state on the bottom their size.
  • Been there done that. Crutches are a great workout... While off your feet just work on strength and toning and watch your calories. Also do you have flat feet? If so the surgery may not hold up long term, mine lasted less than 2 yrs :( Needs to be redone again but holding off as long as possible.
  • Mine is in the morning generally around 630am unless its a day off then about 8am before breakfast. Just get it over with so when I get home from work and am tired I'm not whining about having to go work out yet.
  • Keep on pushing, maybe even a bit harder and eat as normal, its the week I generally lose most of my weight for the month!
  • Started the last full week of June...thought I'd be done with the losing part by now, but apparently its is true the last 20ish is the hardest to go!
  • I've had similiar problems with my foot/ankle as you. Had a surgery 14 yrs ago that didn't stick, wasn't put through PT after 10 weeks on crutches lost a lot of muscle on the ankle and developed arthritis. Severe flat feet with hallux valgus (big toe pushes under second toe.) Luckily my doctor only recommends fusing (then…
