  • :frown: Just checking in for the week-end and before the hurricane hits. We live in SW Fl so say a prayer for us, I remember charlie. Anyhow I'm not doing real good, I haven't really been exercising at all and not loging my food. I think I'm within my limit but it's hard to know without keeping track. I hope all of you are…
  • There are some great sugar free pickles on the market, if you don't have to watch your sodium they are calorie free - and they taste better than the ones with sugar. I LOVE them and have them with dinner every night and feel like I'm getting away with something. lol Be Blessed and eat well, smart that is lol Connie

  • Hey Christy Girl, it's good to detox once in awhile but it's good to remember that for the long haul we have to learn how to eat to live and not just live to eat. Right now my Dr. has me doing a protien, veg. and 2 fruits a day. I am struggleing with this right now. I have bee doing it for 3 weeks now and have 1 more week…

  • Checking in for the day, still hanging in there but my fingernails are getting a little ragged. lol Today has been rough, I've been hungry all day, I know it is because I haven't eaten right, but it's been a day of running around getting things done. I have a good supper planned and bought a nice selection of fruit at the…
  • Christy, most of the time you do so well, and you are helping so many of us, by starting this thread and being so honest and open with your life. We are addict's and food is our fix. It pushes down all the hurt and pain for a little while, and then we have the rebound of guilt. You are not a failure and you will have…
  • Hi all, just checking in with all you bbwomen and man. My life is still going the same I'm still afraid of weighing myself, but I'm still following my food program and excersizing in the pool. My knee went real bad on me last night so the pool may be out for a couple of days or until I can get it working again. Keep…
  • Just checking in for the day, things are about the same here. I sttill haven't weighed myself, I will probably wait for the Dr. on the 8th of August. I think I am afraid to weigh for fear I'm not losing. I really do try hard. I exercise almost daily in the pool, it is hard to do much more that that because of my…
  • You need to have a talk with your husband and tell him how hard what you are trying to do is, and ask his help. I tease my husband at times and call him Jack for Jack Kovorkin (spelling) because when someone carlessly sabatoges our efforts that is exactly what is happening, this food is killing us slowly but killing us…
  • :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: you go girl, I'm so proud of you keep on leading and I'll follow close behind. Be Blessed Connie
  • It is more that likely water weight, last month after being faithful following my eating program and exercising 6 days a week I gained 23 pounds. I know it was water weight as I am a CHF paitent and can gain 6 pounds overnight. My daughter who has no problems like that has found that some weeks the scale will do that, just…
  • I often wonder if the demons we give free rent to in our heads arn't the cause of our being overweight. The tapes play over an over you're not good enough, youcan't do anything right etc.etc. Well I with you on this one kido, I'm kicking mine out too, cause I'm toooooooo good for them. I love the quote and find so much…
  • :flowerforyou: Hi all, checking in with all of you, thanks for keeping me on track. It is so easy to just give up sometimes. I have been following the diet the Dr. reccomened and I haven't had a problem with wanting to eat - just the opposit I don't know if I can face another meal. I'm pretty down in the dumps today and I…
  • Hey Girl, there you go beating yourself up again, remember it's one day at a time.. Go for that walk and enjoy the sunshine and all the beauty we're surrounded with. Write what you eat in your food diary, sometimes it's a surprise to find out we haven't done as bad as we think we have, and then sometimes we have done…
  • Hey Sweetie, don't be so hard on yourself. Do the best you can each day, and when you slip, just pick yourself up and start over. What we are doing here is not an all or nothing thing, it is a lifetime of small choices we have to make. So you blow it one day - who doesn't, forget it and start over. The scale is just a tool…
  • the ticker and the picture - how do you do them. I am not of the computer generation so I'm really dumb at making anything on the computer work. HELP lol
  • Hi Christy, the reason I can't do either the lap band or the gastric bypass now is I have a lot of medical problems that make it dangerous to be put to sleep. The Dr. feels that if I lose some of this weight it will be safer to operate. I know the lap-band is just a tool, and sometimes I wonder if it doesn't take more…
  • :flowerforyou: Keep up the good jof and try not to smoke it's like anything else we love it's one day at a time. What helped me the most was a young man who told me it's hard cause you're an addict, when I acceped that as fact I was able to keep going. I have been smoke free now for 11 years and it's still one day at a…
  • just checking in, have been gone for a couple of days. I had an appointment out of town with an obesity specialist DR. I have really had a rough time this past month. Followed diet and exersized and gained 23 pounds. It is water weight as I am a CHF patient and the way I was eating seemed to pack the water on. The…
  • Hi just checking if for the day - I keep pluging away and I don't seem to be getting anywhere, I keep my calories at 1400 a day and exercise at least 5 times a week. I weight 389 and the scale doesn't budge. I have been at this weight now for a month, I am really discouraged, so if any one out there has any ideas on…
  • :flowerforyou: congrats Christy, I've got a 3x still waiting to get into. Don't stay away too long and keep up the great work. You're an inspiration for a lot of us. Connie
  • So I certainly qualify in this category. I started two months ago at my highest weight (380). I'm a candidate for bariatric surgery and I need to get to 322 before they will do the surgery...and they might make me go smaller than that. So we'll see. I was smaller in high school, but I was a runner...and apparently you…
  • hii All, checking in - I really don't want to. I keep trying to be upbeat and tell myself it's not all about the scale, it's how I feel, but when the scale doesn't give me a boost I'm right back in what's the use. I really do try hard, eating right and doing my exercises but it seems that it is so slow. Yesterday I…
  • :flowerforyou: Hi Christy, I think you are awesome, thanks for starting this thread for all of us who need all the help we can get. I think checking in each day is a great idea. How about a once a week weigh in to see how we are doing. I think that exersize is important not just for the weight loss, but for our mental…
  • Well if this is super size support, I think I'm the leader of the pack. I started at 398 in January, I am now weighing in at 376, so I think that makes for a 22 pound weight loss. It is so true that once you get to be super sized the weight dosen't want to come off, I ride my exersize bike 5 times a week, and most days I…
