Hi there, I felt exactly the same when I started reading around about strength training. Stronglifts 5x5 is a good beginners program, there is a Stronglifts 5x5 group and there are lots of women who are always willing to help. Best of luck! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/4601-stronglifts-5x5-for-women

Congratulations on your results! Im relatively new to this and there will be other people who will be able to advise you better, but from what I have read you can do 3 things here: 1. You can continue eating at a small deficit to get to 60kg. 2. Look into body recomp- where you eat at maintenance in order to gain muscle…

Thanks for the responses, I weigh 129lbs. So If I need to eat 0.6-0.8g of protein per lb; I need to eat between 77g to 103g per day. So far, I have been eating around 90g on my lifting days and around 50g on my non lifting days. I did a quick average of the amount of protein I have been eating per day over the last month…

I would love to do yoga but it sounds complicated, I'm going to check out the links other posters have posted and see if there is an easy at home yoga routine I can get into. I did pilates a few years back so i am confident at doing the moves.

Thank you ladies for your advice! I mainly want to improve flexibility and strength, although I like the additional (stress/anxiety relief) benefits of yoga, It just sounds like it would be too complicated for me to do at home with proper form. I will look into home Pilates dvds and do yoga at some point later on when I…

Oh my God, I LOVE them! There is just nothing better in the World to eat than a packet of Walkers S+V crisps. When I binge, I get through 6 packets a night. Im sure I would not be here on MFP trying to lose weight if they were not invented! :grumble:

For me, I have noticed that lifting heavy is psychological. If I believe I can do it, then I can. I feel like I'm building mental strength as well as physical lol. During TOM/PMS, I generally get emotional and feel low so my confidence and therefore my workouts suffer-not because my body is any weaker than any other time…
