  • I’m in!
  • I like "It's a 10 Hair Mask" . My hair tends to get dry and tangled after I wash it .I use the hair mask every other week and I love how my hair feels for several days afterwards. Smooth and NOT stringy. Especially important with blonde hair.
  • I have pretty average skin, it gets red and windburned easily, but otherwise good. I used expensive/higher end face cleansers and moisturizers for years - Kiehls, Benefit, Exuviance, Estee Lauder. About 2 months ago, I decided to simply my routine and cut down on my Ulta expenses! I started using regular old Cetaphil…
  • I have the same problem, my nails aren't necessarily thin, but they peel at the ends and they are impossible to grow out. I've ditched the regular polish and have starting wearing Essie TLC, it's a one step strengthener and color. I put on two coats, then a few days later another coat. It seems to be working, my nails are…
  • I forgot to weight in on Monday - my normal weigh day is Wednesday. As long as I weigh in once a week . . . same time, Week 3 Start weight: 187 Challenge weight goal: 177 Week 1: 187 Week 2: 186 Week 3: 185 Positive thought - I worked out a minimum of 30 minutes every day, and hard stuff too, weights, intervals, flipping…
  • Week 2 — Start Weight: 186 Challenge Goal Weight: 173 Weigh-in #1:185 Weigh-in #2: 184 A positive thought I had this week was: I set my Fitbit alarm to go off at 7:45 pm as a “last call”for eating a d drinking. No more food 2 hours before bedtime A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: hard boiled egg with celery salt…
  • Today I’m feeling determined. I have a ton of things that need to get done today. I’ve been awake since 4am thinking about everything. I’ve also worked out everyday this week, so I’m determined to keep that string going.
  • [/quote]I use my alarm setup in my Fitbit and set up a time for a "pre" bedtime warning. I set it for 30 minutes before my goal bedtime. It buzzes on my Fitbit and tells me "time to get ready for bed!" I thought I was being silly at first, but it really does help remind me that I should start winding down for the night.…
  • Start Weight: 186 Challenge Goal Weight: 175 Weigh-in #1:185 A positive thought I had this week was: Honestly, need to do better here. Not too happy with my food choices this week. But I did work out every day for 30-60 minutes each day. A healthy snack/meal I chose this week was: salmon with savoy cabbage and grapefruit…
  • LOL, yea, you do have to show the shoes who’s boss! Point toes towards the floor and push your heel to the outside, almost like someone smacked your heel from the center of the bike. Start with some of the shorter rides, if you click on a ride on demand it will also show you the music/playlist so you can decide if you like…
  • I’ve had it for a few years now, and I love it. It’s a great workout, and there are a lot of different class styles (heart rate zone, tabata, intervals, Hill climbs, low intensity, and even groove rides where you just have fun with the music). Various class lengths, 15-20-30-45-60 minutes, and 11 different instructors. I…
  • There are great scenic rides, just pedal along, no music or instructors. But I like the coaching and music and do most do my classes on demand.
  • I’m in total agreement, I used to get up every morning drag myself out to the gym. However in the last year we bought a treadmill, a peloton bike, and a bunch of free weights. It’s been so much better working out at home and I’m Working out just about every day.. My favorite workouts are the Peloton, and fitness blender…
  • So, am I a bad mom for wanting my kids to go back to college so I can get rid of all the crappy food and beer they always seem to have around!? Its been fun going out to lunches and having the request their favorite foods, like the local pizza, and Italian beef sandwiches, but I really want my routine and Refrigerator back!
  • I use the Fitbit charge 2. I wear it 24/7. I also set to sedentary, since I am not on my feet all day. Some days I have 4000 steps, others 10000. My preferred form of exercise is biking or spinning, and get most steps in on weekends when I go on a hike. I live in Chicago so the weather the past several weekends has not…

  • Hi there! My name is Kristen & I'll be 50 this year. I've generally eat well, and exercise regularly during the week, then the weekend comes, and forget it! Husband can eat anything, and would never gain weight - so he's like, "let's order pizza" - want to go out for a burger?? I'm not too far off my goal, so he tells me…
  • Very interesting dialog, I really appreciate everyone's honesty. My husband I went cold turkey with wine, and after 3 days it was difficult, especially in social settings. What's worked best for us is to cut back to 1 glass of wine a day. I found that I needed to find something else to fill a habit, for example if I had my…
  • I'm in too! I'm 49, 2 college age kids, I work full time. After seeing the weight creep up for the past several months - time to refocus! Logging does keep me on track, but I just got to the point where I assumed I knew how much I was consuming, but it's those extra 200-300 calories that just add up. Both my kids are off…
  • I use the fitness center in our office building at lunch for an hour and then go back to work. -dry shampoo (rinse off in shower, but don't get my hair wet) -Shamwow -undies, socks -bag for smelly gym clothes (I take that home, the gym bag stays at work) -Asics running shoes -small make up bag (foundation powder, eye…
  • Hi Everyone! I'm 5'8" 168lbs. Goal is to lose 10-15 lbs, goal weight 155. I survived the holidays OK - just a pound or two extra - hopefully will work that off skiing this weekend!
  • At best 45 minutes each way, but that almost never happens. Generally its 1 hr 10 minutes each way. And it's only 35 miles. Over 2 hours a day. Ugh. Does clenching your teeeth, waving your arms around and swearing at other drivers count as exercise? I do bring my bike to work a few times a week and get in a 10 mile ride at…
  • Love the exercise list. I try to get out and walk/bike during lunch, but it's getting a bit cold to keep it up much longer. Can I have an invite? Looking for some new ideas to keep moving. Thanks.
  • I highly recommend binge-watching an entire season of Breaking Bad. Or Mad Men, or Downton Abbey, whatever floats your boat. 13 straight hours of TV watching will definitely mold your butt to the couch. Good luck.
