Those BIA scales are very inaccurate (ie Fitbit Aria) and it is totally normal ... you have to remember that you get what you pay for. Unless you are using an industrial quality model you will get just numbers. For example .. mine says 10% BF at night and 16% in the morning. So the ONLY thing they are good for is spotting…

Do not use the MFP method ... it is not that great. Although it may be fine for beginners. TDEE -x % is a better idea once you know your true numbers.

Totally normal. Myself .. I had more emotional issues after getting to my goal weight. The one thing .. no one talks about is preparing yourself for the fact that you will not be the same person you were before. The emotional part can be far harder than the actual losing of the weight, at least it was in my case.

Due to the inaccuracy of fitness tracker calorie burns, some people have actually gained weight from them. (due to eating back of burnt calories based on inaccurate data) So .. you have to be careful on how you use them and the data they provide.

I find that the more sugar / junk food .. ie ice cream .. the more the abdominal fat. As long as that is under control, no added abdominal fat.

Here at MFP these HRM's have some sort of special powers. But sorry .. they don't really possess anything special. They measure your heart rate, nothing more. Do it anyways .... my first class (16 months ago) at the gym I used a bar with 5 lbs on it. That was it. After sitting on the couch for 4 years and being super unfit ... I did it. Was it hard, yes.
