  • I have seen almost everything in this tread in the nightstand except chloroform and duct tape. Wow! There is nothing more great than a woman with a handgun in her nightstand, unless she is crazy and you don’t know it at the time…
  • .50 Israeli Desert Eagle. It is the American way baby!
  • I put them in a bowl a half cup at a time, add jalapenos with seeds, cayenne pepper, Asian peppers, and a little vinegar, mix, and put it on whole wheat bread to make a sandwich sometimes. :explode: This cures my appetite!
  • I also have this problem since it is a semi-annual requirement in the Army National Guard that I meet Army standards for sit-ups, so I do keep up with my sit-sups 5 times a week. I would recommend a 2’’ inch padded mat if you can find one. Also, when I do get sore (or raw) I try to take the pressure of my tailbone by…
  • I think the Socialist's, Progressive's, and Liberal's of this country would disagree. They can all stick it. It seems everyday there are stories of the political correctness of these groups trying to tell you what is right and wrong to say. Now I feel better also. Free speech for all!!!
  • I’m recently 42 in also in for anyone to be friends with. I've been here since August 2013 and it has helped me get in better shape, loose a few, and especially in improving my fitness scores to well above passing in the Army National Guard with Army physical fitness standards. Although I do read a lot of interesting…
  • High blood pressure with hypertension, not meeting Army standards, threat of being kicked out of the National Guard, promotion possibilities, remedial physical fitness as 5:00 am, and not being fit. Now I’m 5’11’’ and 170 and could not be happier because I hold myself accountable. I give most credit to MFP. By the way I am…
  • I appreciate everyone who wished me luck. I passed my army fitness test with flying colors for the first time since my injuries and best one in years. 10 over minimum over on military push-ups, 17 over minimum on sit-ups, and 4:17 off my distance. 10/6 = 4.22 miles 10/7 2.5 miles Total miles for this weekend = 6.72 miles
  • Mine is a little weird. I choose this ID years ago for a project identifier to myself and use it for many screen names. Tex-Originally from Texas (can't wait to get back someday). er-electronic ryan (for email) as Ryan is my first name. us-For United States Texerus…not glamorous or outstanding, but mine.
  • I may not post for the next few days as tomorrow will be a traveling day and this weekend I have my long awaited and long feared army physical fitness test Saturday. After two ACL reconstructions and a third corrective surgery to my left knee, it is now make or break time for me to prove I can still make army standards in…
  • 2.17 miles elliptical 8.70 miles bike 12/4 10.87 miles It is snowing and below freezing and I probably will not see my yard again until March or April.:grumble:
  • Nobody mentioned a bacon flavored vodka martini with three blue cheese stuffed olives.
  • Had to take is slow on the cycle today. It is true for me when my body tells me I've been pushing too hard. However, this is a challenge and this month the word will hold true to the meaning. Dec. 3 for 2.96 Miles
  • How much is the bus worth?
  • It seems there is a mixed bag of feelings on this subject. There are many ways to tone the mid-sections without the need for sit-ups. For me, there is no other substitute since I have to conform to Army standards in the Army National Guard to keep promotional, educational, and job in the NG. I personally think it is more…
  • 9.3 total today including stationary bike and elliptical. Too much snow and ice to walk the dog since he is a puller. Dog pulls + ice = busted *kitten*.
  • 6 lbs min. 50 military push-ups without stopping-current @ 40 60 military sit-sups without stopping-current @ 50 150 miles (elliptical, bike, hiking)
  • The "Obama care" diet. Over promise and under deliver. Yes, I went political....bad.:noway:
  • 4.48 miles this evening on stationary cycle-medium. Fair start to December.
  • I’m back in this month since an unfortunate absence in November for 150 miles.
  • Gun range...
  • I had to skip November but I’m definitely in for 150 miles in December which will be 50% higher than October. I’ll have to change my routine to indoors since there is already at least 1 foot of snow on the ground here in the U.P. of MI, unless I try cross country skiing or something similar.
  • I agree. On base you comply. My only exception may be wearing the APFU’s as long as you have an intended purpose of doing some type of exercise. Just wearing them to town and back, lounging around, or going to the PX probably would be a no. I've worn them paying football or soccer and I guess that could be a form of…
  • Weight gain has always been a problem with me since I have had two ACL replacements and recently been put on a permanent profile for the 2.5 mile walk. This is even worse since at that rate it requires around 4.2 mph pace to meet regs. for my age and I find it harder than when I could run. Now since the guard is actively…

  • My opinion is when you drink you also eat more. If I were to drink it would lead to ordering a large pizza and 12 piece of hot wings and eat it all. :drinker:
  • I make it simple for myself and just added a column called “20% Daily Overage Estimation” and multiply my daily calories consumed by .20. It works for me but as I see many are on a stricter regimen and I often find myself eating what is being served and have no idea except a best guess. In this case I just have to eat what…
  • I spent a few minute logging and then added 20% for in my daily overage column I have added for 1,495, but not finished yet tonight. The only reasons it was not 3,000 earlier as I was too interested in watching Detroit kick the crap of Green bay. I was even happier tonight watching Dallas beat Oakland.
  • I have done the same but from Canadian companies. I only wear them 10% of the time and contacts 90% of the time. Since a prescription is only valid for one year and I often don’t routinely go to the eye doctor once a year Canada does not require a prescription for U.S.A residents I find it ideal and cheaper. You just need…
  • If you have the tolerance as I do eat a hot pepper. I always keep a bag of fresh jalapenos handy to snack on. Then I drink water to fill me up and sooth the hotness. This may be a little extreme, but works for me.
