  • Whoa, whoa, whoa! Don't beat yourself up! 2000 cals can add up quickly and not satisfy me especially when it's processed food, beverages and the sweet stuff! You may just need to evaluate what you are eating and try to add more whole grains, vegetables and fruits, etc.
  • Welcome, welcome, welcome! You will find lots of support and non-judgmental people around here! I'm in Colorado too - Denver to be specific!
  • You can use an entry rug or several towels for the EVER SO BRIEF time you'll be on the floor. I picked up a mat at Ross for $10 or so, but I never use it. Weights are cheap there too. As for success on 30-day shred ... mixed bag. I feel a lot stronger, can eat a little more due to exercise cals and my clothes are fitting…
  • BrownSkinBeauty it looks like we have the same loss goal and I too would like to lose 2 lbs. weekly ... it's within the healthy range.
  • You need a trip to Victoria Secrets for some pretty new bras and panties to go with the prettier new you!
  • Terrific!!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Great post! Good job catching things before you re-acquired all 8 bowling balls!
  • @MakingAChoice - You can be sure that others notice but probably feel uncomfortable telling you. Keep encouraging and supporting others ... you are next! @FutureMrsR - After your fellow spinner's comments and personal insight you probably glowed the entire day (I would have)!
  • MUJADRA is a comfort food at our house: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mujaddara-Arabic-Lentil-Rice/Detail.aspx It's a middle-eastern dish and we serve it with a salad and side of yogurt sauce (fat-free, plain yogurt thinned with a few drops of water and add crushed mint and optionally crushed garlic).

  • This is fabulous news! I was beginning to think that we ladies over 40 yrs. would have a more difficult time losing the excess. But you are proof it can be done!
  • Just a quick glance through your diary and there seem to be a number of days with 900+ calories remaining! Eat your calories young lady! One MFP user makes herself eat at least half of her exercise cals, but healthy choices.
  • Still going with Level 2 but not seeing significant changes in weight or measurements. However, I do feel stronger and more confident, both good things to keep me going.
  • Shallo, just because you trip doesn't mean you throw yourself down the stairs  ! You can do it! Maybe you could take it a little easier so it's less uncomfortable/intimidating?
  • Yay! We're all doing great! I am still sore, especially my outside thighs, but not nearly as much as after fthe first couple of days (I'm on day 5). I love reading the messages here - they keep me engaged and on track. Keep posting!
  • The scale isn't moving for me either but I can say that after a few good workouts I'm feeling stronger. I had a colleague who began working out (don't remember what method) and though she only lost 8 pounds she dropped 3 sizes and was rock solid! I'm also glad to report that I'm not nearly as sore as the first couple of…
  • Awesome! Way to go! I don't have "skinny clothes" (it's been so long since I was there) so I hope to be using needle and thread surgery soon too! What does NSV mean?

  • I think you can just plug in 20 minutes of "circuit" and it will calculate the burn for your stats. I've also heard that weight loss may or may not be significant with the workout, but everyone's talking about the changes in their body!
  • Just fininshed day 2 of the SHRED and it feels great. Since my quads are now killing me, I threw a bunch of clothes down the stairs to avoid an extra stair climb to gather the remainder. But upon reaching the last stair I slipped on those clothes and fell flat on my bum. Had to laugh at myself for avoiding the 2nd trip!…
  • I just picked up the dvd at Wally-World. The plan is to start today though I am a little nervous after reading about the soreness factor. I Jazzercise 2-3x a week and plan to do this on my non-Jazz days.
  • You are amazing! I love your positive attitude. People will tell you that you already look great (because you do!), but only YOU know when you are feeling your best!
  • I  Allrecipes. You're so right; wouldn't these sites compliment each other.
