  • I am at 1260 calories. The easiest for me is keep my meals at 200-300 calories and watch my snacking. I highly recommend the Hungry Girl Cookbooks (200 Meals under 200 calories and 300 Meals under 300 calories). Also for side dishes and snacks eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. I've been off a bit lately, but you can look…
  • I am very strange. Mix a Laughing cow cheese wedge with Frank's red hot sauce and spread on the celery. Sometimes I eat it just with the hot sauce.
  • My favorite is taking a couple tablespoons of sun-dried tomatoes and a tablespoon each of light sun-dried tomato dressing and fat free Mayo. You can do it with just the dressing too. Add some Italian herb blend and of course mix with a can of drained tuna. Zesty and yummy. :)
  • That's amazing! You look sooooooooooo good! Congrats and thanks for posting!
  • My favs are the same brand. Hungry Girl 200 Meals under 200 calories and Hungry Girl 300 meals under 300 calories.
  • Thanks everyone! Can't wait to go to the grocery store and make some!
  • The best thing to do is look up info before you go out if you can or even look up info on your phone while you are at the restaurant. I find most of the time, ordering a salad or fish is my best option. For salads, make sure you have a low-fat or light dressing ordered on the side and omit any fattening toppings like fried…
  • There shouldn't be a problem with it. I know the week before they like you to eat foods rich in iron.
  • Once a week works for me. The scale drives me crazy if I look at it every day. Easier to keep track only once a week.
  • Keep working at it. At times when I felt like I wasn't losing anything, I started measuring and sure enough clothes were feeling looser and my waist was shrinking. That is also a victory. I'm at a plateau right now and I know it's frustrating, but hang in there and see if measurement numbers are going down. If that isn't…
  • Great work! You look amazing!
  • I think it's okay to eat them occasionally, but I limit to lunch time at work. It's just quick. And I find the steamer meals are the best and usually contain more veggies and less sodium than some of the non-steamer options. Healthy choice is my favorite. I've been losing while eating them, but I only have them a few times…
  • Try mixing with diet sodas. If that's not you're thing, mix vodka or your choice with the Trop50 juices. Also Crystal Light is a great mixer. They even have flavors like margarita out now. And some mixes are sweetened naturally, but still low calorie if you don't like artificial sweeteners. Have fun!
  • Great work! You look fantastic!
  • Hi! Ah the Cheesecake Factory. I know the last time I went there they had weight management salads. Salads are usually safe as long as you order them without any fatty toppings (fried chinese noodles, tortilla strips, croutons, cheese). And also order the dressing on the side and try to get a low-fat dressing. I had a…
  • Hi. Here's some of the snacks I like to eat: fresh fruits, cut up veggies like baby carrots or celery, unsalted almonds (watch your serving size), 100- Calorie snack packs, yogurt, breakstone's cottage cheese doubles, light string cheese, Pop Chips, and hummus.
  • I use a kettlebell. I did a search under cardio exercises and found weight training or weightlifting. That's what I log it in as. I'm not sure how accurate the count is, but it works for me.
  • I think you need a rest day at least once a week. I know I get drained if I don't take a day off. I do a variety of cardio, kettle bells, zumba and yoga. For me, I found adding weights helped with the weight loss. I started just doing cardio for a while, but the weights help with my strength and weight loss tremendously.
  • Don't have advice on the husband situation. But looking at your stats I'm impressed. You lost over 100 lbs since January! That is impressive. He better notice. I also know with my boyfriend I've been dating for three years, he sees me often sometimes it's hard to notice the weight loss. Sometimes I don't notice it until my…
  • Great job! You look great!
  • I'm not a nutritional expert but I would suggest adding more veggies to your diet. You seem to only be eating veggies at dinner. I know you eat a lot of fruit, but the veggies need to be there in the other meals too. I found it hard at first to adjust my diet, but I started losing more when I would replace items with…
  • Welcome. So far calorie counting and exercise seems to be the only thing that has helped me lose weight. I set my goal for two pounds a week. I think that is a reasonable goal. It's hard for me to lose more than that per week, but it depends on the person. If you go by two pounds a week, you should lose about 40-45 pounds…
  • I found the only way I started to lose weight is to count calories and exercise. It's great and is saving my life! Several coworkers recently lost weight and it wasn't a special diet, it was counting calories. You really don't realize how bad you're eating until you see all the nutritional information combined. MFP is…
  • Hi. Here are some things I bring for snacks at work: unsalted almonds (watch your serving size), 100-Calorie snack packs, fiber one bars, apples, oranges, sugar-free fruit cups/applesauce, other fruits, pretzels (unsalted are better), pop chips If you have access to a refrigerator: cucumber slices, carrots, string cheese,…
  • Great job! You look amazing!
  • Thanks for sharing! This keeps me motivated. And for a first 5K 37 minutes is great! I really hope to get down to your current size. I was just reflecting on my weight loss journey and a C25K class got me running for the first time also. I was also chubby in high school weighing in at 225 senior year. Since September I've…
  • Hi. I've had this problem before. I dealt with a lot of loss in a short amount of time and also was often stressed growing up. I noticed I would eat unhealthy things or remember people by eating those comfort foods. The first thing is to notice that you are doing it. The second thing I did was get rid of the comfort food.…
  • I did my first 5K back in October through a Couch to 5K class. It was great and I continued to run after. During the class I lost about ten pounds but that was when I went from no exercise at all to running. I'm about to do my third 5K this month. Signing up for races makes me continue to workout. Have fun with it!
