I love the elliptical too. I burn 600 calories in 45 minutes doing intervals.

My NSV: I measured myself on 4/3/11 and again yesterday 4/14/11 and I've lost an inch in my thighs, arms, neck, waist, hips and 1/4 inch in my calves. The scale can't show you these resullts!!!

In addition to the cardio I do the different machines. I alternate upper body and lower body each time I go in. I have a personal trainer on Wednesdays. I get strength training too. It's just a slow process.

I use the ellptical for my cardio too. My legs are getting stronger, tighter and leaner, not bigger. I would recommend using it especially if running hurts you.

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is a great book. Much better than the movie. "Shutter Island" is one of the best books I've ever read. It's much better than the movie too. Any book by V.C. Andrews is good too. Beverly Barton writes great mystery-romance novels. There are others that I can't think of right now. Good luck!

I think he's insecure like my bf. My bf is kinda the same. He doesn't understand why I go to the gym because "he loves me the way I am." I told him that I was losing weight for me, not for him. He still gets aggravated but he'll get over it.

My NSV is my legs and arms are starting to get hard with muscle. I love feeeling my own leg and arm muscles lol

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to change my diet to more home cooked foods. The prepackaged foods are so much easier for me because I work full-time and have 4 kids. But I do see where each of you are coming from and I think I know what I need to do to make this weight start falling off again. :smile:

I do 30-45 minutes of cardio and then different machines for different areas of my body. In all, I probably workout an hour a day 4-5 days a week. I have a personal trainer on Wednesdays. This is an increase in exercise since I lost the first 11 lbs.
