  • This is going to sound crazy but it's what I've been doing to get more veg. I cut everything up in one big bowl and have four ounces of pasta sauce on top of it with two tablespoons of sour cream. It was not easy at first, but it gets easier over time. I've used salsa as well with the sour cream but, again, only four…

  • I agree with everyone else with fruit and the medical reason. However, if you do want to try and limit sugars, as with your breakfast, I would get a cereal that has less sugar / none at all in it. I do think tracking fiber is the better way to go, since that has more impact on your health, so you're really all set.

  • Chicken would be a good substitute, if you can eat breast meat with no skin and bone. Or if you have any leftover meat from dinner the night before you could add that to the salad as well. Another idea would be to look at your local grocery store for salad toppers and see what they have in them. It might up your sodium…

  • Talk with your program people. It's possible that's a starting guide and they can change it if you tell them. Note the important part: if you tell them. Besides, they could also look with you and see what you're eating on the days you eat more towards 1850 and why you feel bloated / nauseated.
  • I sneak in cashews and a hard boiled egg because I go to the first showing of the day. Add in some cherries or a banana and I've got breakfast. I also drink a lot of water.
  • Are you drinking enough water? Sometimes thirst feels like hunger.

  • I'd like to join, as it's new and it'll keep me going on my loss, but due to the rules of Whole30, I'm not allowed to weigh myself until week 3. Would that be alright? Could I still join and wait until week 3 to give a weigh-in? Or would that not be cool? Thanks!
  • Food diary and to make sure I'm eating enough as I do not trust myself to go on faith alone. There was one day where it said I was under 1,000 calories and I wouldn't have known that otherwise. A small snack got me over and I woke up the next day feeling good. I'm thinking, without knowing that, I would have felt like…
  • For the OP and anybody else wanting a very quick meal no matter what type of style you're eating. Cook some ground beef. When it's about more than half way done, add in sliced up peppers (green, red, and yellow). Stir together, let cook, and go nom. It would probably be great over whatever you want it to be, but it's a…

  • Just bought a pair of iHome 2-in-1 sport ear buds. It's got a removable ear clip, which I love, as I have the problem of ear buds falling out. Also, they're insanely comfortable because they're cushy / gel-like. I got them at B&N on Saturday and can't really find them anywhere online.
  • Sorry about the Ezekiel bread. It's been ages since I've had low carb bread so I really couldn't remember. That oopsie bread looks really good - after I'm done with the first stretch on the Whole30, I'm going to try to make some.
  • Ezekiel bread is very good but I'm not 100 percent sure of it being completely free of refined carbs. It is a place to start though. It's usually found in the freezer section of Whole Foods.
