I guess the question should also be good in relation to what?

I couldn't read the entire article, however Precision Nutrition has sponsored their data so there is some conflict of interest with their studies that could skew the results. I agree there is no one size fits all, but this seems to be promoting a coaching plan and not new revolutionary data.

I've been WFPB since 1/2019 and have never felt better! Agree with @Hanibanani2020 about stuffed sweet potato - just had one for lunch today stuffed with pinto beans, pico de gallo and guacamole salsa and a mango for a sweet treat. If you are looking for more motivation I follow PCRM on YouTube (they have a daily live…

All of their products are great and well programmed. I have several including anabolic. I'd wait until it was on sale since they typically run 50% off promos every month. I think this month is Strong.

The only difference is this may not be for weight loss as he advocates a whole food plant based approach for managing diabetes. Not sure why the OP wants to follow this WOE.
-
Do you mean whole food, plant based? I have been eating this way for 1.5 years and have nothing but positive results (weight is manageable, lab values have improved, blood pressure is low, energy is high).
-
I don't have much weight to lose (at this point it is vanity weight), but I have been WFPB since 1/2019 and would be happy to lend support!
-
I'm interested in joining a challenge, but not sure how.

What vegan wines do you recommend?

Looks like they are trying to cash in on the "halo effect" of the foods they have included. And at least if they are going to charge this much they could have made it "organic" and "nonGMO" :D

From the article I read... "We're innovating in new product forms that command premium price points, including our new Morning Summit cereal, which has almonds as a first ingredient and sells for $13 a box," the company's CEO Jeff Harmening told investors in a conference on Tuesday. The cereal aimed at health-conscious…

Considering calorie counting is not as accurate as we would like to believe it is best to do nothing.

So a diet break is essentially eating at maintenance. You aren't gaining or losing, but it can be helpful to give yourself a break from being in a constant deficit. There is no set time period for this. Maybe also consider changing your current calorie goal to 1 pound a week rather than just going straight to maintenance.

Same here!

Feel free to add me! I've been vegan/plant based for 1 year. I feel you on the support from IRL friends ;)
-
I just got an Apple watch yesterday! Not sure how to include or invite anyone to a challenge, but if someone figures it out then let me know!
-
How close are you to a healthy weight/BMI? The closer you get to these the slower the weight loss becomes. Also if you have been dieting consistently for this duration it may be time for a diet break.

32 or 8 calories extra - is it really going to make a significant change in the outcomes?

Any fruit, vegetable, beans and whole grains will contain fiber. Pick what you like. You can't overdose on fiber. Its a necessary nutrient for bowel health, improves satiety, cholesterol and hormonal regulation.
-
0.5-2 pounds a week is considered a healthy rate of loss. Congrats! Not sure what help you need since you are losing.
-
Yes it is a processed food. Its actually an ultra processed food and for optimal health these should be kept at a minimum. That being said a burger of any sort has never been considered a healthy food option. The plant based burgers have just as many fat grams and calories as their animal based cousins. They are an ethical…

The most commonly reported side effect is diarrhea (12-53% of patients), and for some uncontrolled. Doesn't sound like this would be a desirable option.

If you look at the fine print of any "diet pill" weather its a prescription or OTC they all say "results not typical" and "in conjunction with diet and exercise". Most of these pills curb your hunger, but do nothing really in the form of weight reduction by themselves. And at some point you have to come off of the pills…

I think you should talk to someone about this obsession with your body and what you perceive as ideal. You had said you are pregnant and will have another human soon who will pay attention to everything they see or hear you say and will model your behaviors (good or bad). Think about your child or someone you care about…

Just curious why you changed to this way of eating? Wondering so other can help with any advice.
-
My original statement wasn't pointed at the OP, but more making a point that weight fluctuations are more than just CICO.
-
Didn't say it was. Not sure why you are just hung up on that one phrase.
-
So if we are taking fat loss then calorie deficit rules, however weight loss (as measured on a scale) is impacted by more than just CICO. That was my point. Scale changes are more than just fat. The OP has also been on a calorie restriction since 8/2019 so the lack of change could be metabolic and she may need a diet…

Fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains (i.e. oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, etc) are all great sources of fiber. Agree with going slow since too much at one time can cause gas/bloating, abdominal discomfort and sometimes constipation (temporary and if not drinking enough fluids). Using supplements are only going to net…
